Reno is surrounded by desert terrain that’s perfect for mountain biking. Head for Peavine Mountain Trails or the trails near Lake Tahoe, or for easy road bike trails, make for the Truckee River. For skiing, you’re close to resorts like Mt Rose, or you could drive 20 minutes to Washoe Valley for some spectacular hiking trails at Davis Creek Park.
