“Relaxing vacation” We vacationed here for the first two weeks of July. Bill and Sandy were fabulous hosts. They were attentive to our needs and generous with their time taking us out in their boat to view the fireworks. The space is decorated tastefully and was clean and welcoming. We spent almost all of our time outdoors enjoying the sun and water. We ate most of our meals outside on the patio. The only thing that could have made it any better would have been to have a screened in area so that we could have stayed out later at night after the mosquitos' came out. We are planning on returning next year.

“Pleasant” Kingsgate is an original Fairfield resort, not Wyndham. That means some of the luxuries you may be use to at a Wyndham are missing. However, do not let this fool you. For Williamsburg, this is an excellent place to stay. It is central to almost everything...Busch Gardens, Water Country USA, Colonial Williamsburg about 1 mile away, shopping is 5 minutes. The location cannot be beat. There is entertainment on property, indoor pool, outdoor pool, putt putt, tennis, playground, restaurant, and pool bar. If you are expecting extreme luxury, this is not it. It is not a Bonnet Creek. You have to go to Governor's Green for that and it is not even up to that level. This is our second stay at this resort and it is worth everything we pay to stay for 6 nights (less than $100 per night for the week). We will stay here again when we return for another visit.

“Very cozy!” We very much enjoyed our stay! There was plenty of room and it was well decorated. I absolutely loved the couch, it was very comfortable, and the hot tub was a favorite. The fireplace added a nice touch for the evening, and we were provided with everything we could've needed. Thanks for the great stay!

“Highly recommend for great food, lodging, live music,and best of” There is a small group of ladies, three of us, who like to travel for wine tastings. We found a hotel in Richfeild Springs on a lake from trip advisor reviews, close to Cooperstown where our wine tasting was going on. When we returned to the Lake House that evening we sat by a fireplace in the living room and the door was open to the second floor and could hear clearly three men talking about a battle of the Potomac. Then they talked about Pickett's charge and on the 4th of July of '63 a train 14 miles long with Lee's wounded. We did notice an accent when they spoke but could not place it. The interesting part of this review came after our return home. It appears the Hotel is haunted (I am not one to believe in ghosts) but when we told our husbands about these three men talking about General Meade and Pickett's charge etc. and how many of their friends were lost ,They Looked at Bruce who teaches history and in disbelieve, informed us this was later known as the Battle of Gettysburg and ended on July 4th of 1863. This was 146 years ago to the day we were sitting there listening to these civil war veterans and 20 years to the day that the Lake House opened in 1843. Now all six of us will defintely be returning next july 4th to the Lake House for the Ghosts and great conversation.

“Love Point Retreat” I stayed at Paula's property 3 times so far. We stayed once in October 2014 and twice in April 2015. Here is how I would break it up: Owner: Paula is very nice, accommodating and extremely responsive. She was easy to deal with, answered all of our questions and concerns timely. Property (Interior): The property is really clean and very well maintained considering its age. I also feel that it is properly stocked with all the necessities. Property (Outdoor Space / View): We spend the majority of our time there outside. The deck / backyard area is very well maintained and stocked with adequate furniture. We used the gas grill every day of our stay. The dock is set up nicely for fishing including rod holders and a light for night fishing. The view from the dock is to die for, the Bay is so wide and the Bay Bridge is a nice backdrop to the view specially during sunset. Fishing: Fishing is the best I have ever experienced (compared to all other rentals I tried). I caught numerous species from the dock including Spot, White Perch and of course Striped Bass (Rockfish). I caught my biggest Rockfish ever from the dock there (39 inch fish, roughly 30 pounds) in April. Overall, I love the property, the view and the peaceful surroundings. A great bonus for me is the short one hour commute to get there. We will definitely be back to Love Point for an encore.

“This is a gorgeous and spacious lake home with plenty of amentities for adults and child. 5 Stars!!!!” This property is on a gorgeous location on top of a small hill. The view of the lake from the house is breathtaking. Our group enjoyed our stay thoroughly and we took full advantage of the amenities in the property like out door fire pit, hammock, boats/kayak allowed by the home-owner to be used by us. The house has enough space--we were a group of 9 people and the space was ample however there is only one shower so that might be a limitation. the kitchen was very spacious and had all the stuff needed for cooking. It would have been nice if there was a functional grill for using outdoors--the one that was there was kind of old and did not work very well. There was some strange odor in the dishwasher but that might be because of its limited usage. Overall, this place is highly recommended for vacation stay. The owners were really nice and friendly and the view and location is absolutely spectacular! My Response Thank you for your kind words. I do want to say that we have replaced the outdoor grill. I'm sorry you had trouble with it. I checked the dishwater also but could not smell or see anything in the trap. We disconnected the plumbing to examine and clean. Whatever the odor was, it's gone. “Ocean City Vaca” This place was amazing, clean and the condo complex was beautiful. If you have kids they will Love here. We had a great experience and plan on visiting again. Did I mention that this condo was very clean. I was impressed the second we walked through the door.

“Good” The place was very nice and cozy, we had a family of 4 and it was great. very clean & also very peaceful!!! People were very nice who live here & stay here. the Pool is very nice goes up to 8ft but they do not have any lay down lounge chairs by the pool so that's a bummer. :) they do have a deck that has them but not pool side only down fall.

“Lovely southern home with all amenities” This is the second time I have stayed at Saltaire and is the first time with my husband and son. What a terrific time it was. This place is just incredible. From the private pool and hot tub to a massive "man cave" complete with pool table, foosball, darts and more. My husband turned into a kid again playing with my son into the wee hours of the morning. Above all else, because Saltaire is pet-friendly, we were able to take our two Porties with us who made those long walks on the beach the absolute best. I can't recommend Saltaire enough if you are looking for an exquisite place to "call home" while on vacation in the Outer Banks!
