“This is a gorgeous and spacious lake home with plenty of amentities for adults and child. 5 Stars!!!!” This property is on a gorgeous location on top of a small hill. The view of the lake from the house is breathtaking. Our group enjoyed our stay thoroughly and we took full advantage of the amenities in the property like out door fire pit, hammock, boats/kayak allowed by the home-owner to be used by us. The house has enough space--we were a group of 9 people and the space was ample however there is only one shower so that might be a limitation. the kitchen was very spacious and had all the stuff needed for cooking. It would have been nice if there was a functional grill for using outdoors--the one that was there was kind of old and did not work very well. There was some strange odor in the dishwasher but that might be because of its limited usage. Overall, this place is highly recommended for vacation stay. The owners were really nice and friendly and the view and location is absolutely spectacular! My Response Thank you for your kind words. I do want to say that we have replaced the outdoor grill. I'm sorry you had trouble with it. I checked the dishwater also but could not smell or see anything in the trap. We disconnected the plumbing to examine and clean. Whatever the odor was, it's gone. “Incredible Beach house with perfect Location!!” We cant say enough about our week at the Castle by The Sea! The house is expansive, gorgeous and beautifully decorated for that perfect beach house. The kitchen is very well equipped and spacious and was wonderful to cook in. The house is very spacious with many rooms for a large group to have privacy if they wanted to have their own time. It was great having the private pool and hot tub. Hearing the waterfall is also very soothing. Each bedroom had a perfect view of the ocean, and hearing the waves at night would gently lull us to sleep. The bathrooms also had a wonderful jacuzzi tub that you could relax and watch the ocean waves roll in. Very calming! After experiencing this incredible home and being so close to the ocean, it's definitely oceanfront going forward. The walk to the beach is perfect having it's own walkway. Before you get to the beach, there is some great seating that you can sit and just enjoy watching the waves. Also has a bathroom and shower at the walkway so that you don't even have to come into the house to use the restroom while you're at the beach. We cannot wait to come back again next year and hopefully convince more family to make the drive and come. I highly recommend this house. The owner was very friendly and helpful and made our stay very relaxing which is what I needed.

“Relaxing with the family” Carolina Breeze is a great family environment. The beach is 100 yards away and the bay is a block away. We went to the amusement area which is within walking distance. We spent more time at the pool and in the hot tub which is delightful. The house is really in a great area.

“A Classy Vacation Experience in any Season” My brother, who has problems walking, and I stayed at Sunnybank for a little under a week in the early spring when the Corolla horses are foaling. The layout of the well-appointed, three-storey main building was perfect for our needs: the fabulous view from the top floor living room provided the inspiration for him to walk up the grand stair case, and he could take the elevator when he was having problems walking. (There are two bedrooms with walk-in showers to accommodate people who have a problem walking.) It rained the first two days, which might have been gloomy any where else, but the library of videos, and stashes of games and playing cards gave us the opportunity to connect in ways that we hadn't since we were children. The fabulous cook's kitchen and multiple eating areas can accommodate a wedding party, family reunion, or any get away time one might want. Mine was a working vacation and the office there, which is outfitted with excellent Ethernet and WiFi connections plus a daybed for napping, was a better arrangement than my office at home. Comfort and casual, yet classy ambience abounds at Sunnybank. An excellent find!
