“Perfect Vacation Relaxation Spot” The view from the room and balcony was gorgeous. Sitting on the balcony each morning sipping my coffee was heavenly. All of the amenities were close to the room and just short walks away. The property itself was well maintained and quiet while still being family friendly. The room was comfortable and a great home base at the end of our daily jaunts. Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Clearwater were very easy drives from the Inn. I can't wait to visit again.

“Perfect B&B; experience” An ideal location, a beautiful adriondack lake, and wonderful service, thanks Margie, made Kiwassa Lake B&B; a great spot for a get-away. The room was clean and perfectly quaint. Breakfast came with a great view and adorable acorn-shaped mini-muffins.

“Cute, convenient, quite cottage.” My wife and I stayed here for four night at the end of July. It is a cute rustic cabin with room for two - four people. It is close to everything in the Traverse area. Nestled on Duck lake peninsula, it is a great place for fishing. I caught 4 large-mouth bass out of the nearby canal alone. The owner is very nice and prompt in her responses. The peninsula has four different spots where you can access the lake. Good if you are looking for a quick weekend getaway!

“perfect” We love Oar Island. It is the perfect vacation place for families with children of different ages, or just a couple. There is hiking, sunning, relaxation, but mostly what we love about Oar Island is the isolation. It is an adventure as well, since the only way to get there is by the little motorboat. It is a getaway for certain kinds of people; but if you prefer the Marriott type of stay, this is not that kind, it is much more "out-doorsy".

“Just couldn't be better!” I have just returned from a 12 day stay at Killdeer Nook. As a woman vacationing on her own this was a wonderful experience. The cabin was just right for a solo retreat. The views were fabulous! One could hike in any direction. The pond was a perfect place to sit in the evenings. The open space and quiet were beyond description. The owners, Rob and Brenda, couldn't have been nicer and more helpful! Killdeer Nook is going to become an annual tradition for me.

“A Real Gem!!!” This cottage is the perfect place for two people. It is truly as beautiful as the pictures! The pool and grounds are exceptional and the view is breathtaking. The place is extremely well maintained and the owner is very kind and helpful. We had a fabulous weekend here and would gladly return!

“Relaxing” This was the first time every staying on a houseboat. We were a little apprehensive to began with, the boat swaying in the wake, but it didn't take long to get use to the motion. Then there was the spectacular views of the yachts, fishing boats and barges passing right in front out you on the Intercostal waterway. Then just about evening Dolphins would pass by, just amazing. We enjoyed fishing from the front deck, not much luck, but very enjoyable. The condo was clean and comfortable. Not to far from downtown Beaufort, we enjoyed the sites there and the surrounding area’s as well. A very enjoyable and peaceful stay. Thanks

“Wonderful Stay in The Adirondacks” We couldn’t have been more comfortable in this lovely home. Everything you needed or wanted is at this home. Very clean and very well maintained w/every kitchen item imaginable. Felt like we were vacationing in our own home. Plus, plenty of info on the area, maps n brochures provided. “Best Vacation!” I asked each of my kids to sum our stay at O'Cottage and they each yelled "Best vacation!" My wife agreed! It was great to take a break from the whirlwind of kids' activites to spend a week here in peace and quiet. The location on the lake is easily one of the best. We loved waking up to the water and going to bed after the campfire dwindled. The house is spacious and tidy and the outdoor shower is a treat. The owner is quick to respond to questions and the booking process was easy. Would I recommend this place to a friend? No! I want it all for myself! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with my family!

“Perfect lakeside getaway!” We had an amazing time at this sweet little cabin! There were boats of all kinds to use to our liking, fishing poles and two grills to boot with all supplies included! Perfect for a relaxing getaway for a couple, or an amazing spot for children with lots of opportunity for exercise and entertainment! We will definitely be staying again!

“Awesome getaway!” I came here with a group of friends for a getaway weekend, and it was awesome! The house is big and comfortable. Huge backyard where you can relax and nearby is a little river where you can walk to. The owners of the house are super friendly and always tried to make you feel comfortable. Definitely would recommend this to others and I would sure be coming back.

“A great retreat” Staying here while on vacation (a bit off-season) was a wonderful retreat from the hustle and bustle of home. The front porch was a great place to relax and play games with friends, the full kitchen allowed us to share great meals, private lake access made kayaking a blast, and proximity to local restaurants and shops as well as the Chataqua Institute made our trip the perfect combination of fun & relaxation!

“Beach Paradise Getaway with Restaurant and Marina a short flight from U.S.” We made a last minute reservation for six days in early February, and had very good experiences both with the accommodating suite owner and the resort staff. Enjoyed quiet and reading time on our balcony and the beautiful beach, and also long walks in the area. Good selection of complimentary bikes and kayaks for the guests, and also a well-designed marina for sailors and motor-boaters--especially impressed with the ample maneuvering room for the slips.

“Paradise” We were in heaven! This property is secluded and beyond peaceful. The house looks out on a small harbor and quiet beach with rare birds. The sunsets are extraordinary and we enjoyed many nights lounging on the porch, drinking wine, nibbling cheese or grilling (freshly caught!) fish and watching the sky turn colors before it got dark (and then we were faced with brilliant stars--we're New Yorkers so we don't get night skies like this!) The house is spacious, yet very cozy. The master bedroom has an amazing (huge!) shower and jacuzzi. The living room has big comfy couches, throw pillows and a working fireplace. One night we roasted marshmallows and played cards. A perfect stay-in evening. I feel I should also say--this house is stocked! The kitchen comes with everything you could want if you're a foodie (we grilled, made mixed drinks, made sushi one night, baked muffins, everything.) There is great cable including HBO and a video library, as well as games for kids if you should need. We loved to bike some days to a nearby beach (Madaket, about 15 minutes away) where there was a little more action than our private one (a taco restaurant called The Westender and spot with bigger surf where we went to boogie board.) The house has beach balls, paddle ball, and buckets for building sand castles. The bikes provided by owners are in great shape and there were also helmets available. Additionally, we loved that there were ocean kayaks, though we didn't have a chance to use them. Mostly, I think we all appreciated that we could completely unwind in this peaceful spot, read, sleep in, enjoy the beauty of the island, etc., but also get into town quickly if we wanted to go out for dinner or get drinks. Getting to Cisco is also a pretty quick trip--and we went twice to the brewery to get a drink after the beach and listen to live music. Overall, this was one of my best vacations in recent memory. You must try this part of the island and
