“No one wanted to go home!!!” Wow, first trip to Costa Rica and our family didn't want to leave. Between the accommodations at a very reasonable rate and the adventures that Ronda (manager/owner?) set up, our family truly had a great time. The home was so family oriented. Plenty of rooms, great family room that we would all hang after a full day of beaching it. Guest house was the perfect place to put my in-laws - gave us the space we all needed :). I was debating to give this review, because I really want to keep this place as a secret gem for me and my friends, but my hubby told me I was uncool by doing that. So here I am, want to forget all your worries and be pampered at the same time and leave with some awesome memories, this is the place to stay. Don't forget to bring your camera and plenty of sun tan lotion!!

“Amazing value for a slice of paradise!” My girlfriend and I stayed here last summer (July 2013) for 1 week and it was a great experience. The condo is fully equipped with all the amenities you need (stove, oven, dish washer, fridge, washer, dryer, outdoor BBQ, shared pool), it is very clean, ideally situated near the beach and the town of Tamarindo, and it is spacious enough for several couples or even a large family to sleep comfortably (large balcony, 2 bathrooms). It felt like an actual home away from home! (cliche I know... but it's true!). It's a great value and just a few minutes walk from all the town services (bank, pharmacy, shops, tour guides, surf shops) and plenty of great restaurants. We saved a lot by staying that's for sure! Getting to the condo was really easy, there's a shuttle service that picked us up at the airport and gave us the keys, which we returned to them at the end of our stay. All the neighbors were very friendly and some even gave us great advice on what to see and do. Whether you're a group of friends, couples, family, this is a fantastic place to stay at while in Costa Rica and there's no shortage of things to do, areas to explore or beach to simply relax on. Tamarindo is a gem of a place and we are definitely going back and when we do we are definitely staying here again!

“Exceptionally nice management. A lot of value.” This cottage is quite a value with two air-conditioned with bedrooms and a very nice décor. It is in a quiet location and an easy stroll to the ocean and a couple of pleasant restaurants. The operators, Carole and Daniel, are very helpful and friendly.

“Our second visit, more to come.” This was our Second visit with Tom and Igor at Villas Casa Loma. Enjoyed breathtaking ocean views of Playa Flamingo from our lanai. Great accommodations with kitchen for making breakfast and coffee to watch the sun rise on the boats in the harbor. The sparkling pool was quiet and refreshing. We even watched the breathtaking sunsets while lazing in the pool. We so enjoyed the sounds of the jungle with numerous birds and a few howler monkeys. It is a short drive to several beaches and many excellent restaurants. Can't say enough of how helpful Tom and Igor were with tips of activities, restaurants and hidden beaches in the area. This year we had three in our group and last year we had eight. Great spaces for large and small groups. We just love our time there. You can be busy every day in town or in the jungle or just relax in this little piece of paradise. We will be back!

“A True Vacation” You definitely know you are on vacation when you stay at Villas Casa Loma. The atmosphere is very relaxing, quiet, and has great views of the Pacific Ocean. The grounds are well maintained, actually manicured, and the large swimming pool is the cleanest I've ever seen. There is actually another pool that I never used. The architecture is impressive with a lot of attention to detail. The owners live on site and are available anytime and they are very helpful including suggestions and directions for local restaurants, banks, shops, etc. This just might be the best place to stay in Playa Flamingo.

“Peaceful Paradise” The stay in Costa Rica at Casa Lomas can not be described in any other way!!!! Had a beautiful view form the top of the world overlooking a small harbor with boats bobbing up and down. Beyond it was the Pacific Ocean blue and beautiful. Sunsets each night form tis same perch were absolutely magnificent. Many varieties of flowers, plants birds and other animals were visible to us every day. Tired of the view? Then go down to the wonderful pool and relax or head to the nearby beaches where we snorkeled, swam and body surfed. You can do as much or as little as you desire. The temperature every day was between 85 and 90 degrees with an onshore breeze to lighten the temperature a little. Absolutely perfect. Tom and Igor are great hosts and will spend as much time with you as you desire to recommend sights to see, restaurants to dine and directions to various places like the zip lines or cattle ranch where they also process sugar cane. Villas are well kept and comfortable with enough space and amenities to be totally comfortable. My two children are still mad because they couldn't go this year but.....Dates are already being lined up for next year!!!

“Peace of mind and close to everything...” I am a travel agent here in the country and I like to explore with the family new options so I can recommend places to clients and friends. I have found Villas Casa Loma on the Internet,because I was looking for the right place to acommodate 9 people, 7 teenagers dad and mom... Villas Casa Loma is a great place where you can find a relaxing atmosphere,large Villas with beds for all participants if needed, great pools for the entire family and a full Kitchen so you can do your own meals. I want to recommend this place to any kind of traveller who wants a well preserve, privacy, and clean Villa with all you need for the trip, we recommend to rent a car so you can reach easily, Flamingo, Brasilito, Conchal, Tamarindo and Potrero beach... “Spectacular!” Playa Flamingo is such a great destination and Villas Casa Loma in particular is the Best place to stay in the region. Within minutes you can chose to be on the beach, in a charming beach villiage, zip lining, surfing, hiking, horseback riding, or enjoying an aTV tour. The dining options in this area is incredible and the choices are many and varied and within minutes of VCL. You can reserve an entire villa, or just a suite of rooms, or bring all of your family and friends and take over the whole place like we did for Spring Break last year. I am a frequent visitor to Costa Rica and I highly recommend Villas Casa Loma to anyone planning a trip to the Guanacaste Region. Tom and Igor are incredibly dedicated to each and every guest and the lovely grounds and accomadations are proof of their love of Costa Rica and their "Paradise Retreat". “Happy repeat visitor!” What a great place to visit in Guanacaste! This time we have stayed for 10 days in a Villa No 2 with breathtaking views of the ocean and surrounding greenery. There are flowers everywhere and birds and butterflies.This was not our first visit. We loved it before and came back more than once.Photographs on the web site represent this property accurately. The rooms are large with complete kitchen facilities, and everything is well maintained and clean. Owners are very helpful and go beyond the call of duty. Pools are large and very well maintained. We have recommended this property to many friends and many have come for a visit here as well. There are great beaches nearby, great restaurants, nearby volcanos, incredible spas and sanctuaries,zip line attractions,horse back riding...just a perfect vacation...a place to get away from it all. We always enjoy our visit and will come back again.

“Wonderful Piece of Paradise” We stayed here from May 13-20 in villa 204. It was clean, well kept and extremely spacious! Wonderful views of the surrounding hills, Playa Flamingo, bay and ocean. Tom and Igor were very knowledgeable and gracious hosts. The grounds and pools were constantly being manicured and cleaned. We didn't use air conditioning during our stay as the villa had many ceiling fans to keep the air moving and was very comfortable, even with it being 40+C in the sunshine! The kitchen was well stocked with all the required items for cooking. We even used the BBQ which was just a quick walk down some stairs, which would make it very central for all guests to use not matter which villa you stayed in. Lots of thought has gone into the planning of their piece of paradise and would highly recommend staying here. There is a small grocery store on the main road to Playa Flamingo, just a 2 min drive, that had all the basics required for food and drink. Many great restaurants in the area and it was easy to navigate from LIR airport. The city of Liberia is about 1 - 1 hour 15 mins away. Tamarindo was about 20-30 mins away. You've inspired us to start thinking about our piece of paradise!
