“Perfect!”

Reviewed 12 Sep 2022

Absolutely perfect stay. Great house, clean, tidy and everything we needed was available. Lovely host and good comms leading up to the stay. Only minutes walk from the main town and very easy to park outside. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again. We realised after we left that we forgot to empty the fridge, apologies

“Warm, convenient location cottage.”

Reviewed 3 Nov 2021

Jasmine Cottage is within a short walking distance from the bustling centre of Bowness. It is ideally placed with many of the Lake Districts attractions close at hand. The cottage is warm, comfortable and tastefully decorated to meet all your family needs. It has a large modern bathroom with a very good shower. I would have no hesitation recommending jasmine Cottage to friends and family and would stay again.

“Jasmine Cottage”

Reviewed 6 Sep 2020

Positives - Nice house, perfect for a week away. Just at the start of Bowness, 3 minute walk into the start of town. The house was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Very very comfy huge beds! Lovely garden area for sitting out on an evening. Our daughter absolutely loved the enormous bath and made use of it everyday! Negatives - The house next door is being renovated so noise during the day from the builders. Didn't bother us but I imagine some people it would. Front door was sticking and difficult to lock but we managed it plus only one key which for a group is a bit of a pain. Also as the weather changed the house was very cold on a night but we couldn't put the heating on as it was on a timer. I'm sure if we had got in touch with the owner we could have had it turned on so wasn't really an issue. We had a lovely stay at Jasmine Cottage and would stay again

Response from the owner I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay. I am pleased to say that the renovations next door are now complete. Sorry to hear about the hearing, we do like guests to adjust it to when they would like it to come on rather than is leaving it at fixed time. Everyone likes different levels of warmth. The timing can be changed by sliding the keys around the clock and the switch can be clicked to constant to put it on at any point in the day. I have looked at the door and make some adjustments - I will also make sure guests are aware crew sets of keys can be made available ( the key safe only has room for one set but I can leave other sets inside) I hope to see you again in the future sometime. “Lovely Cottage”

Reviewed 22 Aug 2020

Lovely cottage in a quiet location and spotlessly clean when you arrive nothing too much trouble for the owner.. Convenient location only 5 minutes walk to the centre of Bowness and bus stop at the bottom of the street if you want to get around the Central Lakes without using your car. The only issue we have was with parking. Could not park anywhere near the cottage even when we arrived to unload. Have never seen the Lake District so busy in the last 30 years I guess everyone is spending their holidays in the UK instead of abroad which is good for our economy in these strange times. But with the location being so busy and the Cottage being renovated next door their was a skip and work vans parked outside every day and we had to park 2 streets away which wasn't very convenient. However other than the issue with parking have no issue with Jasmine Cottage was a lovely place to stay and would recommend. The owner Sarah excellent to deal with and easy to get hold of if you had any issues or problems.

Response from the owner I am very sorry that you had problems with parking near Jasmine Cottage. Unfortunately at that time as you say it was unusual due to there being a number of tradespeople at the cottage next door along with a skip - I am pleased to say the renovations next door are now complete and parking is now back to normal for Jasmine Cottage.

“Comfortable and cosy!”

Reviewed 13 Mar 2020

We were four adults and three small children under four. The weather was terrible, solid rain for three days and nights, but the cottage was warm and cosy with everything we needed! A very well equipped kitchen, VERY comfortable beds and plenty of space. It was very clean and communication with Sarah was easy! Highly recommended!

We had a brilliant stay at jasmine cottage, we had absolutely everything we needed for a lovely weekend in the lakes. The location is perfect within walking distance of Bowness and Windermere. Sarah was very accommodating making sure that the heating and lights were on for when we arrived as we wouldn’t be getting there until late in the evening. Towels and toiletries were provided.
