Description

Thorneycroft Shepherds Hut offers short stay holidays for two people as an idyllic getaway to the peace and quiet of the country side. It is situated in a quiet corner of our yard with uninterrupted views down our fields in the picturesque village of Kettleshulme, nestled on the edge of the Peak District. Great for exploring, a mile up the road is Goyt Valley and Windgather rocks ideal for walkers, climbers, cyclists and horse riders. In the village there is a local pub that serves excellent food; booking recommended. Over the hill is the village of Disley where the Grit Stone Trail begins and passes through Lyme Park on its way to Kidsgrove.

Thorneycroft shepherds hut accommodates a cosy double bed with log burner and small kitchenette. Kettle, toaster, fridge, belfast sink and a two ring hob is all provided with a fold down table and under bed storage . There is also a separate hut with shower, wash hand basin, and W/C. Private parking for a car provided.

“Fantastic short break”

Location is ideal for picturesque walking and very close to a lovely pub serving fantastic food. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The Shepherds Hut was clean and tidy and the log burner was great. We had a great time and would definitely return in the future.

“Excellent mini breaj”

We stayed at the Shepards hut for two nights with our dog. The hut is fab! Very clean and has everything you need utensils, pans etc. We BBQ'd on both nights however there are a few pubs close by. The shower room was very clean and the hamper we received on arrival was lovely! Would definitely stay again we loved it! Thanks again Joanne! Xx
