An affordable all year round holiday location - alpine style lodge with own HOT TUB for self catering holiday rentals. Refurbished with contemporary striped carpet to sitting room, new wooden floor to entrance hall, contemporary style sofas . Sleeps up to 8 guests. Located in the Tamar Valley, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, providing a spacious & comfortable base from which to explore the numerous attractions that Devon & Cornwall have to offer.

Shared on site facilities include heated indoor & outdoor pools ( summer only), mini fitness suite, tennis courts, childrens outdoor play area , games room.

The person booking must be over 25 Years of age.

The Woodhouse Lodge is situated in the pretty Valley Lodge area at Honicombe Manor Park. The price of the holiday includes use of all the onsite facilities - indoor and outdoor( during the summer) pools, snooker table, games room, small fitness suite. Tennis courts ( although these will be the last to be upgraded as part of the current upgrade programme and are sometimes turned over to children safe football areas) and a childrens play area also on site. Activities at the Manor along with local craft markets from time to time and a bar and restaurant area to enjoy .

Explore all that the Tamar Valley has to offer - Cotehele National Trust Property is a few minutes drive away located on the banks of the Tamar - canoe trips available on the river from here. Local steam railway at Gunnislake. Explore the historic town of Tavistock and the old Pannier Market. Plymouth approx. 25 minutes drive away along with nearby sandy beaches at Whitsand Bay. Step back in time at nearby Morwellham Quay or visit the Donkey Sanctuary next door . A little further afield Eden project well worth a day trip - check out their events calendar as they have some amazing summer concerts. And always a must is a trip to the quaint little fishing villages of Polperro, Looe and the lovely estuary port of Fowey. And so much more..

Getting around

A car is advisable if you really want to explore the area properly but if you are a keen cyclist take your bikes as the cross country trails abound. Ideal location for a rambling holiday out of season or take your sketch book and paints , walking boots are art buddies and soak up the idyllic countryside.

Interaction with guest

We have a housekeeper and maintenance person available to help you on site with any queries during your stay - we understand that sometimes even the simplest gadget different form your own at home can be difficult to operate and Tom is always on hand to explain and make your stay a comfortable one. Site does have a reception but we provide access via a key safe to the lodge so you don't have to worry about arriving before reception closes at night. We are always at he end of a telephone to answer any queries as our aim is that you have a restful and enjoyable time .
