Description

Tithe Cottage is a generously proportioned 3 bedroomed cottage. Located in the Lake District National Park, in the hamet of Brandlingill, it offers a super base to relax and enjoy yourself whether for walking, running, cycling or simply to "get away from it all " break. Situated in a courtyard setting, our cottages are fully equipped, spacious and provide accommodation to the highest standard. There is storage for bicycles.

Adjacent to Tithe Cottage, is another 3 bedroomed cottage (The Byre ID 5787643) so there is the opportunity for 2 families or large groups of friends or groups of walkers/cyclists to holiday together.

We offer a shared outdoor communal area which guests can easily access from the cottage and is located close to the stable area. Please note that the garden space is not directly attached to holiday cottage.

There is also the use of the Courtyard to sit out and enjoy the peace and quiet. We keep the Courtyard car free.

Tithe Cottage offers an excellent location to explore the beautiful Western Lakes region - beaches, mountains and lakes. Great for local wildlife - red squirrels, badgers, deers and birds. We also have fantastic night skies on clear nights so great for star gazing.

If you are looking to bag a few more Wainwrights or experience that open water swim or even cycle along tranquil quiet road then Tithe Cottage offers a wonderful base to do all this and much more.

“Comfortable, clean cottage in a peaceful location. Ideal for exploring the Lakes!”

Thank you for a very relaxing and peaceful stay! We appreciated the warm welcome,comfort and cleanliness of Tithe cottage. We were looking for a quiet and peaceful base from which to explore the Lake District, and it definitely ticked all the boxes for us . Hope to return in the future!

“Lovely country location”

Just spent a week in the lovely Lake District countryside at Tithe Cottage near Cockermouth. Loved the location in a quiet lane at Brandlingill. Cottage was spacious if a bit dark downstairs but it is a barn conversion. It was clean and comfortable and had two excellent showers. The owners Anghie and Rolf were very friendly and helpful and left us teabags , biscuits and flowers. The cottage was handy for both Keswick and Cockermouth and we loved walking and driving the lanes surrounding it.

“A great stay at a lovely location”

We really enjoyed our stay at Tithe Cottage. It's a lovely barn conversion in a wonderfully peaceful rural location, though only 10 minutes from Cockermouth and 20-25 minutes from Keswick by car. There are some good local walks and it's close to Whinlatter Forest (Segway expedition was great!). Anghie and Rolf are lovely hosts and we found the cottage very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The beds are very comfy and the pictures hardly do the space justice, the bedrooms were large and plenty of room in the lounge and dining room for all six of us to spread out. Dishwasher, washer/dryer and pet-free ticked all our requirements and we would love to come back and stay again.

Response from the owner Thank you for a glowing review. We are rural which makes it a quiet location but easily accessible to Cockermouth and Keswick. Great base to get to Buttermere, Ennerdale, Crummock Water, Bassenthwaite and Loweswater.

Response from the owner Our location is rural but with easy access to Cockermouth and A66. We continue to try and get better Wi-fi - it's there but not up to the speeds you can obtain in some more built up areas
