Description

If you are looking for a unique and beautiful get away our tent is perfect for you. We can offer you camping but with the luxury of a comfortable double bed with bedding to relax in after a day exploring all the stunning Western Lakes has to offer. Step outside onto your own private decking for panoramic views of our local fells and straight towards Skiddaw. There will be an abundance of wildlife surrounding you as the tent is next to our own birdwatching tarn.

Sited on our small friendly camp site situated 5 miles from the lovely small market town of Cockermouth full of independent shops, cafes and bars, a must for all our guests to explore. The busy town of Keswick is 12 miles. We are excellently situated for exploring the many gems in our area.

The tent has shared modern and clean facilities with our other campers which are next to our holiday cottages consisting of a shower, toilet, laundry facilities fridge and freezer, just a short few minutes walk from the tent, we are currently building a purpose built shower block with underfloor heating at the entrance to our site, this will have mens and ladies toilets and showers, dish washing sinks, laundry facilities and fridge and freezer space.

The tent has its own adjoining parking space.

Inside the tent is a very comfortable double bed with bedding, bedside cabinet, Ratan rug on the floor, lighting from fairy lights on the ceiling and a bedside lamp, there is a toaster, kettle, 2x plates, bowls, mugs, cuttlery and a electric point. The tent is set up for upto 2 people sharing a double bed, there is room for a put up bed or travel cot to accommodate children, please get in touch with your requirements and I will be happy to help.

Outside to enjoy the beautiful scenery is a table & chairs and chiminea.

Our location is rural and we do recommend guests have access to a car while staying, the nearest bus stop is 2 miles from us or we can advise local reliable taxi firms.

“Great stay in the safari tent”

Me and my partner experienced a lovely 3 night stay in the safari tent. Although it rained for most of the weekend we still enjoyed our walks around the lakes, climb up scafell pike (which is about an hour away) and a little day trip to Carlisle. There is also a games room located on the farm. The tent was well equipped with extra blankets, a heater, cutlery, kettle and toaster as well as boardgames. The farm also had lots of cute animals including owls, birds, chickens and goats. Would highly recommend

Best weekend break ever .. owners where helpful and friendly and went out or there way to help make it even more special by putting up decorations as it was my husbands birthday .
