“Tranquil stay in Eskdale”
Our short break as a family was ideal. Rose Cottage is located in a peaceful small village with stunning views of the mountains. A handy post office come shop had all the essentials and two local pubs were within walking distance and had tasty meals suitable for the whole family. The cottage itself was clean, well equipped and had a huge dining kitchen. Interiors were lovely and in keeping with the cottage style. We visited the nearby waterfalls and took a trip on the miniature railway. The welcome pack provided was very generous and all the necessities were provided for cleaning/cooking.

“Great accommodation in a great location”
We had a wonderful experience staying at Rose cottage. The hosts were so very helpful and provided everything we could possibly want. The accommodation was well presented and equipped. We had a very generous welcome pack of supplies given by Phil and his wife, and they certainly went above and beyond in every respect, can’t thank them enough. The children and adults alike loved the beautiful garden, the cosy living room, the comfortable beds and the incredible village location. What a base to go walking. Would definitely recommend wandering up through the common land (Giggle Alley) behind the cottage, to see the lovely Japanese Garden. Well stocked village shop and two pubs in walking distance. Would definitely come back!
