Description from owner

Description

The Captain's House is a spacious and luxurious family home, overlooking Falmouth harbour. with many superbly preserved period features as it's Grade II listed. Sleeping 8, in three double bedrooms and one twin, the house is decorated and furnished to a high standard offering luxury and comfortable accommodation; it also has a secluded terraced garden and private garaging for 2 cars and off-street for 1 more car.

Well located in Falmouth you won't need your car once you get here as it is no more than five minutes walk to the shops and restaurants, the ferries from Custom House Quay, the National Maritime Museum and Events Square; and 15 mins walk to Gyllyngvase Beach and Pendennis Head. All beautiful coastal walks are within close proximity to the house. This welcoming home is very close to everything you need for a great holiday, but set in a quiet area so it is a peaceful too.

The house is on two floors with two living rooms and a large dining room downstairs, all of which give our guests plenty of space to relax during your stay. Upstairs the bedrooms offer comfortable sleeping for eight and stunning harbour views. There is flexibility for families as the Primrose room has a large super-kingsize bed that can also be converted into two singles on request.

You can have a look at our floor plan and more information on our website at captainshousefalmouth.

Our changeover date is Saturday.

Response from the owner Thank you for your feedback. This summer was terrible weather and the roof in summer house is new and we are fixing it after hearing your comments. The house is actually being repainted in early 2023. We are surprised that you didn't find enough cooking utensils as we thought there were plenty but sometimes guests move them around. We are looking into it and of course can add more. We hope you at least enjoyed your time in our much loved house and it's a shame you didn't think it value for money.

“Family Easter Break”

Reviewed 8 Apr 2018

The Captain's House was simply lovely. Warm, comfortable, with plenty of space for us all and everything we needed and more. We really enjoyed our time here and the only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer. Lots to do in Falmouth to keep us busy. Really enjoyed the Maritime Museum with the Titanic exhibition and the children had fun with the Pirates. Of course there were the beautiful Cornish beaches and countryside to explore when the weather allowed and it was great, after a tiring day, to return to such a welcoming home. Would definitely like to visit again.
