Description from owner

Description

You can now live the dream and rent this unique contemporary waterside house with direct water access and benefiting from a private pontoon and mooring . This is not a typical cornish cottage! Ancarva is a newly built contemporary waterside house located in Cornwall with breathtaking views out across the Tamar estuary to the Mount Edgecombe Estate beyond.

The house is located in Cornwall at Southdown on the banks of Millbrook Lake which is a tidal tributary to the Tamar estuary. Southdown is situated on the Rame peninsular in an area of outstanding natural beauty and is only 15 miles from the excellent shopping and leisure facilities of Plymouth and 10 miles from Torpoint. Ancarva is located within 2 miles of Kingsand and Cawsand and the golden sandy beaches of Whitsand Bay are a short distance away.

Ancarva has the benefit of 80 metres of direct water frontage. It has its own private pontoon suitable for yachts up to 13 metres in length with suitable shallow draft. The mooring provides excellent access to the Tamar estuary, either side of high tide, and beyond to Plymouth sound and the excellent coastal waters of the South West coast. It is possible to launch a small dingy and canoes at the property and there is full slipway facilities at the local boat yard.

The house sits in an enviable position with excellent breathtaking views and great access to the water. Southdown is a very small settlement of only a few houses and is very tranquil and peaceful. The facilities of Millbrook, Cawsand and Kingsand are all within very easy reach.

The Rame Peninsular, also known as hidden Cornwall, is a designated area of outstanding natural beauty and has many wonderful hidden villages to explore. The Mount Edgecumbe estate can be found here which has wonderful grounds and gardens abutting the estuary and sea.

There are many fantastic places to eat out in the local area and these are detailed on our dedicated site.

You can view the full details of the house and is facilities on our dedicated site, just search for Ancarva.
