Description

This two bedroom lodge provides a comfortable, relaxing "home from home" lodge ideal for a main holiday or as a short break. This lodge, together with our other lodge on the same site, were awarded a 5 star excellent rating by Trip Advisor. It is situated at South Lakeland Leisure Village close to road and rail links but in a rural location. The lodge has all the facilities to make your stay relaxing and will suit family holidays as well as couples, there is also a free private internet connection installed in the lodge for the use of the guests, the network name and password are to be found on the router.

The lodge offers a master bedroom with en-suite shower facilities and a twin bedroom with main family bathroom. Please note that towels are not provided and you will need to bring your own. The lounge kitchen and dining area are open planned and lead onto the outside decking area with outside furniture. The kitchen now includes a washing machine.

South Lakeland Leisure have an award winning restaurant and bar, a beauty salon and a gymnasium including an indoor heated pool and steam room.

The location is ideal for people seeking an outdoor activity holiday, walking, cycling, golf and the beach are all close by. The surrounding countryside is well worth exploring by foot or by car with the Lake district, dales and the trough of Bowland being beautiful places to visit and all close by.

The site is known as South Lakeland Leisure Village and they own the site facilities which are available for the use by guests. The use of the leisure facilities is not included in the price and must be purchased through the site management.

“Amazing Holiday”

We had the most amazing holiday, lodge is comfortable and clean and has everything you need. It was a great location for visiting the lakes and Morecambe. Our 2 boys loved to play football on the grass area out the front, where we could watch from the balcony.

Julie and James hosts with most. This lodge really is home from home great place great area. Very clean with xlnt procedures in place.If they did breakfast they would win 4 in a bed.Thanks for everything

This lodge is amazing home from home, spotless, tastefully furnished with a lovely decking area. Would definitely recommend 5 star. Will also be going back Owners were very helpful and friendly.

We have had a few people ask about a shop on site but the site management have said it is not worth it because there is an Aldi, Booths and Tesco in Carnforth 2 miles away. We have just returned from a fabulous stay at this fantastic lodge , it had everything you needed and is situated in a peaceful position on a great site , I was amazed at how spotless clean it was and the owners are more than happy to meet and greet you at their lodge. We were very lucky to have amazing weather and clear nights for our stargazing on the deck , the lodge is excellently situated for this due to the outlook from where it's positioned. Thanks again for our brilliant 4 night break , we would love to return sometime.

Response from the owner Thank you for your kind review. There is an indoor pool and leisure gym facility on site in addition to the bar restaurant. Other guests have mentioned a site shop, the problem is that since 2 miles away in Carnforth there is a tesco, aldi and booths supermarkets. It is therefore uneconomical for the site to try to compete with these supermarkets.
