Description
The first thing you notice about Penpoll is the peace! Here you truly escape from the hustle and bustle of life - whatever the season - as Kingfishers dart in and out of the creek. It is a very special and much loved spot, where the choice is to enjoy the peace of the garden, and surrounding countryside, or to get involved in all the varied activities this beautiful part of the South Cornwall coast has to offer. There are stunning views of bird-life on the river and the surrounding countryside from the house and garden.
Recently refurbished, Penpoll is extremely comfortable, with an Aga and wood burner for cosy evenings. The four comfortable bedrooms - all with a view of the river - can accommodate two families of budding swallows and amazons. With dams in the creek to build, the large garden to explore, sailing lessons, boat hire or canoe expeditions in the harbour, safe sandy beaches to explore, the days are quickly filled. The pretty harbour town of Fowey boasts great restaurants, art galleries and shops. Golf, cycling and horse riding are all easily available within a 20 minute drive.

“Family holiday to remember - picture perfect”
We stayed at this fabulous property over the Easter holidays with our extended family of 10. Whilst a little tricky to get there, once there it was a wonderful relaxing stay that we can not recommend highly enough. Truly a great find. Everything you could ask for and then some were provided with all the small touches greatly appreciated. The bedrooms are very spacious and the beds and pillows super comfortable. Sadly the weather did not come to the party on this occasion but not to worry as there was a comforting log fire, plenty of board games and endless cups of tea to keep us more than content. When the sun did come out, the views were to die for and the children absolutely loved the river with ducks, swans and wild flowers. We leave with many happy memories and would love to return one day in the future. Ps the pub in Lerryn is a gem as is the general store - definitely worth a visit or 2.

“idyllic break”
We had a lovely time at penpoll, the accommodation is very well equipped and is a home from home. The children loved sleeping together in the kids room and paddling in the Creek until late into the evening. Penpoll is very well placed as a base to expore from and we discovered a new beach every day.
