The Coach House has 3 bedrooms, a double with ensuite bathroom, a twin and a bunk bedroom with full size single beds. The main bathroom has a whirlpool bath, so you can relax with a book or a glass of bubbly.

Decorated with a contemporary finish, original oak beams and stone walls have been preserved to give the cottages true character. Fitted with modern facilities throughout, and stocked with all the basic essentials for both kitchen and bathroom we aim to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Further details indoors

A luxurious 18th century barn conversion, The Coach House combines character with a contemporary finish. The ground floor comprises 3 bedrooms; a double, a twin and a bedroom with full size bunk beds. Each bedroom has its own thermostat for individual comfort, and quality mattresses aim to give a good night’s sleep. There are 2 bathrooms - the main bathroom has a shower and whirlpool bath for a relaxing jet massage, and an ensuite shower room for the master bedroom. There is a toilet in each. The downstairs is tiled in a natural limestone with under floor heating for a cosy feel.

The upper floor is an open plan lounge/ kitchen/ diner, with oak beams and stone walls, light and airy. A rustic oak laminate floor, and reclining leather suite add a contemporary feel. There is a flat screen digital TV and DVD player. Colour changing LED lights provide special mood lighting in the evenings.

The kitchen is modern with electric oven and halogen hob, an extra quiet Bosch dishwasher, combi microwave, fridge and separate freezer. The kitchen is kept stocked with all the basic provisions you need to make holiday cooking a little easier. A small utility room downstairs houses the washing machine. Full gas central heating ensures the cottage is cosy at all times. There is a courtyard garden for dining al fresco.

You can walk in the village, directly from the cottage up Heversham Head, a small hill with stunning views of the Lakeland Fells and Cumbrian coastline.

We leave a folder with information about the local area - amenities, places to visit, restaurants, bars, cafes and shops. There is also a large box of leaflets with details of the many visitor attractions, activity centres, boat and steam train rides, walks, cycling and much more for the whole of the Lake District area.

Further details outdoors

Response from the owner Thank you so much for your lovely review. I'm glad you enjoyed your holiday in The Coach House, and were able to frequent our lovely newly refurbished pub. I'm sorry the heating was too hot, and wish I could have popped round to sort that out for you. The bedrooms have underfloor heating which can be turned off without affecting the the living areas. You are right though, the underfloor heating is slower cooling down. Each bedroom has it's own thermostat, so the best way to achieve a cool room is to set a low temperature and keep the door shut. We hope you will come back again, and I will ensure that you know how to keep the house at the temperature you like. Glad everything else worked for you. Mary
