About Whitsand
Whitsand is a penthouse apartment with uninterrupted views over the river, beach, coastline and bay in Looe.
Accommodation comprises a modern kitchen fully fitted with all the mod cons and a lounge dining area with soft seating for four, TV and DVD player, dining table and four chairs. This room enjoys the lovely river and sea views from the bay style window. There are two en suite bedrooms, the master bedroom again enjoying the views which has shower room and the second twin bedroom where the en suite has a bath with electric shower over.
Just a short stroll from the beach at Hannafore and less than a five minute walk to the coastal path which leads through Talland Bay and on to Polperro the location of this apartment is great. The centre of West Looe can be reached within 5 minutes on foot and then it is a walk over the bridge or a trip across the river on the ferry to the hustle and bustle of East Looe. Guests will enjoy watching the comings and goings on the river from this modern apartment.
There is a reserved parking space to the rear of the building for a small to medium sized car. There are several flights of steep steps from the parking area to the property, for those with limited mobility please read the accessibility statement or contact us for further information.

“A wonderful place to stay”
Whitsand is the uppermost apartment and requires climbing up some steep stairs to reach it but once you do then you are in for a treat. The views from the living room and master bedroom overlook the beach, sea and estuary and are stunning. The apartment itself was comfortable and well appointed, including tea, coffee and milk on your arrival, a nice touch. Both bedrooms have an en suite which is really useful. Cleanliness was generally good, there are signs of wear here and there but nothing serious. The car park isn't the easiest to get in and out of and there are yet more steps to navigate to get back to the apartment but the letting agent makes it very clear that access is not the easiest. The only negatives I could find were no WiFi option and the bedding, whilst clean, had a "long storage" aroma. I would definitely visit again, a wonderful apartment and a great base to explore Looe.
