Description

“Shanice” is a modern well equipped two-bedroom holiday cottage that sleeps 4 in two bedrooms where pets are welcome. There is an attached garage and allocated parking space in a quiet location.

The balcony view of rolling hills and fields seem so far from the busy little town and harbour less than 10 minutes walk away. The Camel Trail beside the Camel Estuary is only a 400m away for walking your dog or cycling bring your own bike or hire one in Padstow.

The Camel estuary and Padstow in particular are very popular. This stems from its incredible natural beauty. The Estuary is a haunt of birds and sailors so in addition to fishing boats, yachts often moor in the picturesque Inner Harbour.

Padstow is ideal for the north coast sandy beaches, some within 2km - great for sandcastles, surfing or just relaxing and enjoying yourself.

Padstow is famous for the Rick Stein's restaurants and Jamie Oliver's is an 8 mile drive or bus ride along the picturesque North Coast road to Newquay.

Additional Information
A small slate hallway/porch leads into a 4m x 4.5m open plan lounge with 42inch plasma TV, heated by a gas fired wood burner style stove with U shaped dining area and kitchen off. A balcony off the dining area enables you to sit outside and enjoy the excellent Camel Valley views from the back of the cottage. There is also a sheltered patio area with BBQ for outdoor dining with seating for 4 between the house and garden . The bathroom has a separate shower cubicle as well as a corner bath.
For pets there is an 6 foot high fenced 40foot x 15 foot cottage garden to the rear, the garden is quite private, not overlooked by neighbours.

“Nice property”

Nice property, 5 to 10 minutes walk into town, lovely view from kitchen window looking over the fields. Great walks for the dog . The owners are very friendly and helpful.

Response from the owner Glad you enjoyed Padstow. The Heater has a dial to set the gas power. In winter we use 6 in the day and down to 4 at night. We will add this to our house book

“Perfect little cottage with a home from home feel.”

The cottage was lovely with a very home from home feel. It was an ideal size for a family of four and our little dog. It also had a garage which was perfect for storing our bikes. The cottage was quite basic but very comfortable and an ideal holiday base. We didn't use our car very much as there was a supermarket within walking distance, you could walk down the hill and along the front into the centre of Padstow getting a very tasty crepe along the way. The only downside was the big hill you had to climb to get back to the cottage. Padstow is a beautiful holiday destination and we would definitely stay at Shanice again.
