Description
It's a pleasure to have tou as a guest in my flat-atelier, at the 3rd floor of an antique and noble building in Vittorio Emanuele road, that is the most important, antique and well-known road of the historical centre of Palermo. This road links without interruptions the Royal Palace of Normans to the marina, the mountains to the sea. Along this road you can visit many of the most famous monuments and most interesting historical urban spaces: the fortified door Porta Nuova, the Royal Palace of Normans, the Cathedral, the archbishop's Palace, Belmonte Riso Palace (until now seat of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Sicily), Quattro Canti at the crossing of Maqueda road and Vittorio Emanuele road, Pretoria Square, Marina square, Santa Maria della Catena's church, Chiaramonte-Steri palace, the neighbourhood of Kalsa, the fortified door Porta Felice, Foro Italico and more…. much more else! From my balcony, you can see a wonderful urban landscape on Vittorio Emanuele road and from my kitchen, you can appreciate the beautiful cupola of the church of Casa Professa, that arises on the roofs of the antique neighbourhood of Albergheria-Ballarò.
You can enter in the building from a big door in S. Giuseppe street, a nice side street on Vittorio Emanuele Road, near s. Giuseppe church and Quattro Canti. We are exactly at the centre of the city, in a elegant urban context, but also near to the historical and popular fishmarkets, like Ballarò and Vucciria. Furthermore, this area is really nice for the variety of pubs, restaurants and entertainments for all tastes, but also it is quiet and pleasant for a walk or a ride near the seafront in the evening or at night. This area is also well-served by the most important public transports (to the beach for example) and a few steps to the railroad station.
My flat of approximately 48 mq is composed by a spacious dining room, a kitchen, a bathroom and a bright and living room with a balcony on Vittorio Emanuele road and covered by a wooden roof. From the living room, you can go upstairs to the bedroom, opened to the living room and illuminated from downstairs. I will offer you any advice you would like on historical informations, cultural and tourist events, and typical and good wine and food. I can propose on request a cultural and historical tour in the city, for my recent academic studies in Architecture. Furthermore, I can offer on request to take you to the airport from my flat, or vice-versa.
