Description

Hendra Barn is a charming original barn of stone and slate which has been carefully converted into an inverted property. The original beams are exposed in the upper level of the property with the two bedrooms on the ground floor. Upstairs you have a well equipped kitchen with a electric cooker, electric hob, microwave and dishwasher. The fridge/freezer is in a small walk-in room next to the kitchen also provided is an iron and ironing board and hoover.

There is a toilet and basin also upstairs. The main bedroom has a double bed, oak wardrobe and chest of drawers. There is an en suite with bath/shower over, basin and toilet. It is possible to add a cot or guest bed for a small child in this bedroom, on request. The second bedroom has twin beds and an en suite of enclosed shower, basin and toilet. Bed linen and towels are provided for the property use, not beach towels. Also for the kitchen 2 tea towels, oven gloves, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and condiments.

The property has its own garden with patio and bench table. Dogs are allowed by request at a small charge. Car parking is available on site.

Getting around

We are ideally situated to explore the North & South Cornish Coast. Also if you plan a trip to West Cornwall for the day it's not too far either. If you fancied not driving one day, you could always book a tour with a local tour guide.

Interaction with guest

Someone should be around to greet you, however if not the key will be in the door upon arrival. Although we are around should you need to contact us, we leave you to enjoy your break.

“Lovely cottage”

Hendra Barn is delightful, very clean, well equipped and we were made very welcome. The small enclosed garden was safe for our dog, and included a picnic table for alfresco dining. Plenty of lovely beaches and places to visit nearby, although car is essential.

“Fabulous Holiday”

We had a brilliant time down in Cornwall and the accommodation was fabulous. Angela and Phil looked after us with travel advice and anything we needed. Couldn't asked for any more from our stay. Would come back anytime.

“Very Friendly Reception”

Really well appointed cottage, perfect for 4 people, but worked well for my wife and I as well. Met as soon as we arrived by Phil, very friendly and helpful. Cottage was immaculately clean ad had every utensil you could want. Great walk from the front doo to Port Isaac down the coastal path, took us around 2 hours (with breaks!) 1 hour walk back up the road. Only a few minutes drive from Tintagel and many other places. Took 45 minutes to drive to St Austell and the surrounding villages. Charlestown on the south coast is a great place to visit on a dull day, its the village where many Poldark Scenes were filmed. Also recommend Wheal Martyn, an old Clay Mine with a very good, outdoor museum, Easy to do both the same day. Best meal we had was in the Red Lion Inn St Kew Highway.

Stayed here for a week in April barn is lovely clean and spacious has everything you need home from home .We got lucky with weather had a fantastic week it’s well situated for costal and inland walks .

How do damage deposits work?
