Description

Lovely pine lodge on 5 star site next to Lake Windermere. Facilities on site are Marina facilities, Restaurant, Bar, Health Spa, Swimming Pool, outdoor sports court & 2 childrens playgrounds.

The lodge is in a very quiet and private position not overlooked and backing on to beautiful woodland. There is a large wrap around decking with 2 tables and chairs for al fresco dining.

The centrally heated and double glazed accommodation comprises of large lounge with 2 sofas, 32" tv, ipod docking station, dvd player & hifi. Dining area has a 6 seater dining set plus high chair for younger guests. Modern fitted kitchen overlooking wooodland with oven, hob, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer and microwave.

Family bathroom has a corner jacuzzi bath with shower over, ideal for a long soak after a walk/climb/cycle.

Main bedroom overlooking woodland with 5' leather bed, fitted wardrobes and en suite shower room. 2nd bedroom with views to Scafell pikes has king size bed that can be split in to 2 twins to suit. 3rd bedroom overlooking woodland has full size bunk beds, the top bunk can be lifted if 1 adult uses this room.

“Did not match up with our expectations – nstill o WIFI still and will not recommend”

I am a google local guide and the below are my obsevations. GOOD + We found Julie was very responsive and she always responded quickly + Nice small and cozy accommodating in a beautiful setting + There is a big scope of improvements BAD - No WIFI yet, you don’t even have mobile data (I tried with EE, Vodafone and 3). This has put us completely off. The connectivity was critical for us - The Barbeque – we found unacceptability filthy - so we didn’t use it - The oven was not cleaned well – we had to work hard to get oven tray cleaned to the standard - Some essentials things were missing, and they were not informed to us. For example, oven gloves, its better if it’s informed to the guests in advance - All the pans were old and unusable - The third bedroom is extremely small and almost unusable for those are not used to extremely small space. Practically it’s a two bedroom. Claustrophobic? – stay away - Bathroom toilet flush was flimsy and its didn’t work - Although Julie was very responsive in terms of answering your queries, But no actions were made to fix any of the issues we raised.

“The most unoverlooked lodge on site!”

This lodge really great location on site and also to the local area. The only downside is there is no wifi available unless you go to the main reception area but wasn't a real issue to me personally (I only mention this as it is the advertising material) . Took some great photos during the stay which is what I was there for and so nice going through them on the outside area of this lodge. Really great and can't say much else really.

We stayed in the Lakes pine lodge over the bank holiday weekend after finishing our university degrees (6 girls). The lodge was perfect, it had all the facilities needed and was very clean and cosy! It was in a great location in the holiday park, within a short driving distance to both Ambleside, Windermere and Brockhole, where we went paddle boarding and kayaking. Thoroughly recommend!

Fantastic place to stay and relax. The lodge is in a brilliant location with many local attractions and places to visit nearby. The lodge itself is great and easily had enough space for six family members. Would highly recommend.

Response from the owner Am sure anyone looking at the reviews and my 100% response rating will work out for themselves that this is from someone who simply missed the booking by not following the instructions given on the site and the day and time it was held for. The lady in question then decided to try and bully her way to getting me to accept a booking from her and not the people who had booked in the correct manner. Bullying and threats do not get people to want to deal with you.

“Excellent cabin”

We booked this cabin for 5 days over Christmas for a change of scene with the family and was well worth it. Cabin is very cosy and comfortable and felt like a perfect place to spend Christmas. The owner Julie was very nice and even provided a gift each for out kids. We will definaley book again in the near future.
