This a two bedroomed cottage, with a double and twin room, bathroom with over the bath shower and open plan kitchen and living space. with central heating it also boasts a coal burning stove for that warm county cottage feel. The kitchen is fully fitted including, electric oven, grill, microwave, dishwasher and fridge freezer . There is a laundry room for the use of all the cottages, which has a chest freezer, washer, tumble dryer, iron and board etc. We now have a Hot Tub which is shared by our 4 cottages and run on a diary system.

“Peaceful Retreat”

Reviewed 28 Aug 2017

Lovely spacious cottage, very clean & had everything you would need. Location ideal for long dog walks and peace & quiet with beautiful views- especially from the hot tub! Log burning fire was a plus as well. Alston itself is very small and quaint, didn't spend too much time there as we wanted to make the most of the surrounding countryside. Cottage owners were very friendly and approachable. Would definitely recommend and would return for a 2nd stay.

“Excellent getaway, eautiful surroundings and lovely owners!”

Reviewed 23 Nov 2016

My husband and I stayed at The Cottage with friends for his birthday getaway. Susan and her family were lovely. The Cottage is dog friendly so we could take our dog, who enjoyed running around the fields. It is a lovely walk into Alston where there are a number of lovely dog friendly pubs. It was a perfect little break for us, comfortable and relaxing! Definitely would like to return.
