Description

Riverside Lodge offers wonderful holiday accommodation for families and couples alike. The standard of the Lodge is very high with a lovely log cabin pine interior. The Lodge is fully equipped with everything needed for a Lake District holiday.

The Lodge has an open plan design with doors leading onto the wonderful riverside balcony. This has been extended this year to run along the side of the Lodge and provide a large covered area.

The Troutbeck valley is a beautiful secluded valley in the heart of the Lake District. The valley is very peaceful but only a few miles from the hustle and bustle of Windermere Bowness and Ambleside with their shops, restaurants, bars and other attractions.

Limefitt Park is a 5 star, award winning park with a host of facilities. These include a river pool, Lakeland pub, adventure playground, football pitch, shop open until late every day and laundrette. And it’s all set in stunning scenery.

“Lovely riverside retreat”

Reviewed 17 May 2022

Great lodge. Covered area for those rainy days. Completely closed and gated decking area for the puppy to stay safe. Large area looking over the river to eat and relax outside with lovely meadow view. Everything you could need in the cosy lodge. Low level and Hillside walks on the doorstep. Lovely pub/restaurant on site with beer garden. Lodge owners very responsive and welcoming. We would definitely stay at this lodge again. Book and you will not be disappointed.

“Excellent holiday”

Reviewed 14 Aug 2020

The log cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. It was right by the stream and was beautiful. The pub on site is ok but expensive for the type of food they offered. I would book again.

“Perfect location, fantastic scenery and cosy lodge”

Reviewed 6 Jul 2019

The lodge was in a location that was absolutely ideal to explore the Lake District while retaining perfect calm and peace. There were countless trekking and hiking opportunities within walking distance of the park and the scenery around was just absolutely stunning. The Lodge and park are also within very easy reach of lake Windermere and the other lakes are just a short drive away, but if you wanted to walk to lake Windermere, you needed about half an hour or so. We were really very pleased with the location. The lodge itself was nice and cosy, if not very spacious. It had a nice feel and was very clean on the inside, although the exterior could seriously do with some cleaning and tlc, as I've never seen so many spiderwebs around a single house. The facilities were basic but good, however we were a bit surprised that there was next to nothing (other than some sugar, tea, coffee, salt and pepper shakers and spices) in terms of basics and a bit shocked that there was a single toilet roll in the toilets!! The shower is great even if the bathroom is tiny. The beds were super comfortable and sitting on the patio, listening to the river flow was just heaven. All in all, we were pleased with our stay and but for some minor reservations, we would be pleased to recommend it.
