“A fabulous dog and child-friendly holiday”

Reviewed 14 Apr 2018

We have just returned after spending a week at Mockerkin Tarn. The cabin was perfect for us, a family of 2 adults, 3 children and a greyhound. It was cosy and perfectly sized for us with everything you'd possibly need equipment-wise. Although there are many cabins on the site, it feels very private. The children loved the swimming pool which we used daily. The walks from your doorstep were amazing and although we used to live in the Lakes, we discovered many new routes. I would highly recommend this property. We plan to return another time. Thanks to the owners, Pete and Ann for all the helpful information they sent us prior to our visit.

Response from the owner Thank you for taking the time to review our cabin and for your recommendation. We fell in love with the area some 16 years ago when we first visited the Lakes and never regret our choice of location when purchasing our cabins. Red Squirrels are one of our success stories, the greys are gradually being replaced with our native reds and are often seen visiting the cabins in the last couple of years.
