Very Good

“Best Hidden getaway for any season!”

Reviewed 14 Apr 2014

My family stayed for a week in February. It was one of our best vacations ever. Awesome cabin and property right on the lake with trails. Even teenagers had a great time exploring the trails and woods. Great little restaurants...we loved the Mason Jar Cafe...great food. We toured parks...Grandfather Mountain, went snow tubing and ice skating. We spent an afternoon at Elk Falls which is beautiful. And at the end of the day went back to the cabin to warm by the wood burning fireplace. The loft area upstairs was great for the teenagers to have their own space. It is such a beautiful area...we can't wait to go again...maybe we will try the summer and see a whole different scenic view. Even the dog had a blast at the dog park in the same community. There is a washer and dryer...which is so convenient! We just loved it there and I would recommend it to everyone! We will go back again and again!

“Unbelievable location and did so many things at this unique cabi”

Easy to check in and out. The outside and inside look even better in person. The way it was designed & decorated was so creative with all the small touches around the cabin. Very clean throuhout the cabin and on the outside. The location was perfect. Anything you could ever want to do: Golfing, hiking, fishing, skiing, tubing, canoeing, and site seeing. At the community center you can even play volleyball, basketball and other activities. They have 24 hour security in this gating community with partrol cars. I loved the fire pit in the backyard of the cabin and it has the biggest loft I have ever seen. You could walk out the cabin and start hiking on the trails. River in the back and a huge lake steps away. I'm so glad that we decided on this cabin for our vacation. Thank you very much to the River Cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

“Relaxing and Cozy!”

We stayed in this sweet and very relaxing cabin last week. We went skiing and snow tubing which was located near the cabin. We visited Boone and Banner Elk and had plenty of restaurants to go to. We loved the hiking trails around the lake which is right next to this darling cabin! We plan on coming back in the summer to go to Grandfather Mountain, Tweetsie Railroad, and take advantage of the pool and golf located in this resort! Rebecca was so helpful with helping to make this a fun week! We had a very comfortable and fun stay!
