Description

This terraced cottage in Lindale sleeps four people in two bedrooms.Cragg Cottage is a cosy terraced property in the village of Lindale. The cottage has a double and a twin room upstairs, and downstairs, a shower room and an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove. Outside is off road parking for one car and a small front patio. Cragg Cottage makes a great base for enjoying the village amenities, walking round Lake Windermere or along the coast, or discovering the beautiful scenery of the National Park.

Amenities: Gas central heating with woodburning stove. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, WiFi, TV with Freeview, DVD, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for woodburning stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 1 car. Small front patio. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 2 mins walk. Please note: cannot allow Monday check ins.

Region: Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Town: Situated in the southern Lake District and just a few short miles from the coastal estuary and the seaside town of Grange-over-Sands is the small village of Lindale. With a true 'Lakeland feel', due to its narrow streets, traditional dwellings and quaint old pubs, this charming village is positioned on the slopes of Hampsfield Fell. The coastal resorts of Arnside and Grange are worth a visit, whilst the pretty town of Cartmel - with its famous annual horse race meetings - offers plenty to see. Lake Windermere and the villages of Bowness-on-Windermere and Hawkshead are only a short drive away and still retain the charm and character that has endeared them to so many visitors. The fabulous countryside which surrounds Lindale also provides exceptional walking and cycling opportunities.

This was a lovely base from which to explore the immediate area through walks from the doorstep and the Lakes. Good facilities and owner was keen myself and my visitor from abroad were comfortable
