Description
Granton Coach House is a luxury 4 star self catering property and is situated within the grounds of the owners period property. It is C18th and whilst the accommodation is contemporary, many of the original features have restored blending new with old. Beams are in all the rooms and the original wooden floor in the living area has a large rug in front of the wood burner. The first basket of logs is supplied free and a small charge is made for subsequent baskets of logs and kindling. The fully fitted kitchen has an integral fridge and dishwasher, an electric oven and ceramic hob as well as a microwave. There is also a dining area.The washing machine is in the small utility room with the central heating boiler.
The bedroom is situated in what was once the hay loft and has an enormous comfy super king bed. It has a luxury en suite shower room .
The entire accommodation is set on the first floor made accessible via stone steps leading on to a verandah where guests can sit and listen to birdsong. There is a small patio with BBQ, table and chairs in the woodland area of the garden making it a pleasant place to sit. Guests may also sit in the sunny front garden.
Goodrich near to Ross on Wye is a perfect location. It is a peaceful village with a C12th castle run by English Heritage, 2 pubs and a village shop and post office.
The property is ideal for couples seeking a relaxing, peaceful holiday yet close to many interesting towns and villages. There are plenty of walks from the door as well as further afield including part of the Wye Valley Walk. Whether it is walking, golf,fishing, kayaking, horse riding or any of the other activities that are available, the coach house is the ideal place to stay in the beautiful Wye Valley. Hereford,Gloucester,Worcester,Cardiff, Bristol are all under an hour away. Abergavenny, famous for its Food Festival and Hay on Wye, famous for its book shops and Literary Festival are also close by as well as the Cotswold for those wanting to spend a day a little further afield. Many guests return time and time again. We look forward to welcoming you.
