Description from manager

Description

Situated in quiet, landscaped gardens yet only five minutes walk to two beaches, Rosemary Cottage offers excellent accommodation for up to five people. The owners are constantly updating the property and further upgrades have taken place over this winter. The accommodation is arranged over two floors. The main door leads through a porch area (useful for the storage of outside clothing etc) into the large lounge/dining room. This room has a feature stone fireplace, a large LCD TV with Freeview and DVD, plus a games console (Wii) and iPod/Mp3 docking/music station as well as wifi access. There is a a dining area with seating for 5. This room leads on to the fully fitted kitchen, equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave, washing machine and drier.

On the first floor there are three lovely bedrooms, a double, a twin and the last a single room. The bathroom is situated here and includes a bath with shower over, w.c. and basin.

From the rear garden there are pleasant views to the sea and there are two beaches immediately available only a 5 minute walk away. The rear garden is decked at several levels and provides a quiet spot to sit and enjoy the views and perhaps a barbecue. Parking is available for one car in a private car park 25 yards from the cottage.

Rosemary Cottage is a perfect base for a Cornish holiday close to the sea. The town of Looe can be reached in about twenty minutes via the coastal footpath or in five minutes by car. The property has been renovated with real flair retaining the best of the old whilst introducing modern touches and up to date amenities. The cream tea and bottle of wine awaiting your arrival provide a particularly welcoming touch.

Out of season short breaks available. Please call or email for prices.

“Great location for beaches and Looe”

This is a lovely cottage on the outskirts of Looe. It's a welcoming and cosy cottage where we have now stayed twice. There is a beach only 5 minutes (down hill) from the cottage, and Looe town… More

“Disappointing cottage in lovely location.”

Rosemary Cottage is a pleasant looking cottage in a nice location but we arrived to a dangerous kettle with a broken lid that just fell out when pouring the boiled water. Luckily we avoided scalding. … More

Response from the manager We are disappointed to read your review of Rosemary Cottage. As you mention the kettle lid was broken mid-week and replaced the following morning, it was very poor timing that the oven subsequently broke down (which has now been replaced). The email re the kettle did mention some items that had seemingly been missed during the kitchen clean for which the property manager replied immediately to apologize for any oversight and explained that they would have happily come out had they known sooner. They were grateful for the reply which acknowledged their prompt response and the reassurance that it had not affected your holiday and recognizing the steps taken during the Covid situation and how appropriate they were. We can assure you that Health and Safety is of utmost concern at this time and indeed in the normal course of events. As discussed at the time we were very sorry that it appeared there were some oversights in the kitchen on this occasion. As you are aware all emails were responded to so we are a little unsure of the reference to a lack of response but are sorry we fell short of your expectations on this occasion.
