Description

Sycamore Cottage is situated in the tranquil Eden Valley with stunning views of the Northern Pennines and distant Lake district fells.
The property is located in a peaceful rural area approximately four miles from the attractive market town of Appleby. This courtyard development of four two bedroom cottages have been sympathetically resorted by a local craftsman to an extremely high standard. Each of the cottages have retained a wealth of beams, oak flooring, oak batten doors and exposed stonework and furnished and equipped to cater for your every need. To the rear of the cottage there is a patio and lawned area with garden furniture and a BBQ.

The accommodation is upside down style and the double and twin bedrooms on the ground floor are both en suite. Upstairs is open plan, kitchen, dining/living area with oak flooring and exposed beams. Very well equipped kitchen, large TV with freeview and DVD player, TV's in both bedrooms. Washing machine and dishwasher.
There is an outside store ideal for those who wish to bring their bikes with them.

Fab few days staying at Sycamore cottage near Appleby. Fantastic spot for visiting the lakes and exploring the Pennines national park. Cottage very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Had everything you need. Thoroughly recommend

We had an excellent few days in this lovely modern cottage. Everything you need to make it a lovely get away. Sheila had kindly provided tea, coffee & biscuits on our arrival. Would recommend it to anyone wanting peace & quiet with all mod cons.

“Fantastic stay”

Beautiful barn conversion in a great location. Ideally placed for the dales & lake District. The place was spotlessly clean, great welcome gift of chocolates, biscuits, tea & coffee too which was really thoughtful. Fantastic space which was better than expected. Would definitely stay again.

“Superb accommodation”

Reviewed 3 Jan 2019

We booked at the very last minute (less that one day!) and the owner, Sheila was very accommodating. We had directions and the place was lovely and warm when we arrived with a lovely packet of biscuits, a box of chocolates, tea, coffee and a bottle of wine to welcome us! The buildings (renovated in 2015, I think) have been done to the highest standard with everything of excellent taste: woodwork, furnishings, pictures on the wall etc. and there were lovely Christmas decorations including a tastefully decorated tree! Comfy beds and good en suite with piping hot water and excellent CH. Lovely views across the surrounding countryside and good walks from the house or in the area. Appleby (about 4 miles) is a lovely little town. A great experience.
