“The perfect getaway location!”
I cannot say enough nice things about this rental property- from the first email contact to the last, the Millers were outstanding with communication. The property offers a fantastic view of the valley that hypnotizes- before you know it, you've sat on the porch rocking the afternoon away. The cabin itself had everything you could ask for and more- just bring the food and you're good to go. The kitchen was well equipped with cooking utensils & I was able to cook two nights/one morning there without needing a certain pot, pan, or spatula. The living room was cosy and there was enough t.v. channel variety to keep my teenage boys occupied during the short rainy period. The cabin was centrally located and we visited a mine, movie theater, grocery store, arcade, and several restaurants in the area all with in 20-30 minutes, many much less. I plan on making a return trip as soon as I can!
“Best Vacation Home EVER”
My husband, 2 dogs, and I had such a lovely visit. Everything we needed was provided. The view was spectacular. I got up and watched the fog lift off the Smokies every morning. I loved seeing God's beautiful creation from up on high. We saw bunnies and deer every day. Next time I would like for them to provide a black bear for me to see. :-) But the best thing was the kindness of the Millers. My dad had to go in the hospital the first day of our visit, and Mr. Miller was so kind. He said that he and Mrs. Miller would have their church pray for my dad. I was very touched. Hope to stay with them again next time I visit my parents.
“We've stayed there 4 times and loved it each time”
Spectacular views of several mountain ranges. Sitting on the front porch watching the mist rise in the morning and the dusk set in the evening is peaceful and relaxing. We enjoy watching the airplanes land at the county airport in the valley below. Cabin is comfortable with a spacious kitchen - enjoyed the wood burning fireplace making it cozy in the fall with the cold weather outside.
“Family fun in the mountains”
My wife and daughter and son-in-law stayed here in September. It was probably one of the best places we have ever stayed. Everything you would need was furnished. The view was great. It was very clean and well taken care of. We will stay here again. you cannot find a better place to stay for the price we paid. thank you Michael for a great stay in the mountains. We will be back and we will be telling all our friends about the great time we had. Thanks again Tom & Hazel Lanier
I was looking for a comfortable, quiet, secluded cabin to enjoy some well needed rest and relaxation and that is exactly what I found with the Millers. From the reservation process to the check in process Mr. Miller made everything so extremely easy!! He even mailed a detailed map of every single turn we needed to take. Please believe me when I say the pictures do this small piece of heaven absolutely no justice. When you pull up to the cabin the view will take your breath away. Only someone as amazing as our Good Lord could create such an amazing countryside view. Occasionally you might get a visit from the turkeys, deer or other wildlife. They have everything you could possibly need on site. The only thing you need to bring is your food. They already have linens, towels, paper goods, laundry facilities, fire wood, books even movies. The cabin is clean as a whistle! Mrs. Robin even has a notebook with her ratings for local restaurants, events and local hot spots (I have to say her rating system, spot on.) This was our first stay with the Millers but it absolutely will not be our last!! I am counting every single second until we are able to come back.
“It truly felt like "a Slice of Smokey Mountain heaven"!!”
This place is just as described only better! The mountain, valleys and meadows views are fantastic. The cabin is just the right size - very clean and comfortable. Everything I didn't have with me, I found there easily. Well-equipped by owners and guests too. Our little Cavalier Spaniel loved the porch too and the swing was my seat!! Michael was terrific with communication. We had a wonderful break from our hectic life. I could live in this "cabin".. Thank you Michael and Robin for sharing your "little slice of heaven"!!
“Very peaceful and relaxing”
We were able to spend time with our son but have our own space. The cabin was very clean, had everything available you could need. The view from the porch is beautiful
Response from the owner THANKS - JIM AND LOIS WE TRULY APPRECIATE YOUR GRACIOUS COMMENTS. HOPE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY WILL BE ABLE TO COME BACK TO OUR BEAUTIFUL SMOKEY MTNS.. ROBIN AND MICHAEL
“Exceeded our expectations”
We had a delightful time and hated to leave. The cabin view is outstanding and almost mesmerizing. The front porch becomes the most important room in the house. The Miller's are great to work with and very helpful in making arrangements. We are already trying to figure out how to get back. Convenient to all the outdoor activities in the Nantahala Gorge and the Smoky Mountain Performing arts Center had great entertainment events.
“what a view”
great week. we couldn't decide which view we liked better; day or night. easy access to both downtown Franklin and the highway to Highlands. the ride to highlands may be the most scenic I have ever been on. can't wait to get back next spring and maybe have a chance to float the river.
Response from the owner Thanks so much for your kind thoughts... There is nothing like rocking on the covered cabin porch and just rock - dreaming of those great mountain views that lie before you... Trying to decide which way do I wish to go. One can go in any direction and see great views and do all the mountain things - that comes to mind when thinking of the Great Smokey Mountains.
