LARGE Rear Deck & PRIVATE 6 Person HOT TUB 20ft above the river. Truly a clasic in 1930 was the BAT CAVE POST OFFICE. Total REMODEL built in the early 30s, and you will enjoy it's character. With a Newly Moderen Kitchen featuring Granite counter tops and all moderen ammenities. We also kept the old time feeling in the home allows you to get back to the Good Life Relaxing & Peaceful. The complete inside of the home has rough cut pine boards on all ceilings and walls just as it was when built so long ago. Seating on the rear deck acomodates 12 people not counting the 6 person Hot Tub just above the River. Has 2 Flood Lights to shine on the River at Night.

You sleep at night with the Peacefulness of the flowing River and a 4ft Waterfall just below the deck, The View is breathtaking in all directions. Trout Fishing is a lot of fun with river Stocking once a week . Only 1/8th mi. up stream & 1/10th. Mi. down stream you are sure to enjoy the catch of the day, hopefully for all to see. Personal steps that lead to the river are for our guests only with the brand new decks, we recommend Water Shoes for playing in the River.

One of Hickory Nut Gorge’s wonders is Bat Cave Preserve, owned and managed by The Nature Conservancy since 1981. The preserve is home to the largest augen gneiss granite fissure cave in the world. The granite of these caves was formed over 500 million years ago. The cave provides habitat for rare bats, salamanders, and spiders.

Response from the owner 1st I am sorry she didn't enjoy the rental. 2nd Her review saying (DISCRIPTION HAS CAHNGED SINCE I RENTED IT) That is FALSE! (Some may not like it but if it is False that is against my Business! They should report that to Flip/Key also. They have a section for FRAUD. The description has not been changed in 8 years? Some things have been added Hard wood Floors, Massage Chair, 4 inch insulated cover over the rear Deck. Always trying to make better. You can look at a review from 4-2014 ( Nice & Cozy )On that review it say's it was the (Old Bat Cave Post Office, Beverly reserved on 8-17-15 came in on 9-18-15 She called to say they had checked in. I went over to have her sign paper work that they took possession & any questions. I asked her how she liked it, She said she didn't. I said I have never had anyone not like it? I asked what she didn't like about it & she just shook her head couldn't tell me, so I asked her husband & he said he could sleep in a tent. She said it wasn't what she had expected! I told her she could go back and look at the way it is described it is exactly as seen. She added in her review that she had before paid $400.00 more that is 33% more than she paid me & gotten something much nicer. ( I can say most of my rentals are 30% repeat & it would be more than that but I am already reserved when they ask to rent. (I WILL STAND ON MY OTHER REWIEWS) I would have more reviews BUT I have quit asking for them because Flip/Key and all the rest of them ask to many PERSONAL Questions they want to get into your FACEBOOK page?
