“High quality venue and facilities for a small group, lovely loca”
A perfect escape to the country with great views and scenery. The landlady, Charmaine, was really good and made sure we were settled in - We received a gift basket upon arrival introducing us to some really good cider which is local to the area and fresh bread, and a home made cake!! The cottage has large modern open plan kitchen dining and seating room which is great for interaction, with another sitting room with open fire! It is located on a farm and we loved the quiet sounds of nature. An early morning walk saying good morning to the sheep and the abundance of pheasants was a personal treat. There is a huge amount of information about short day trips and places to visit and things to do in the area and around. Ledbury is beautiful to visit. We stayed a weekend though it is worth a longer stay to explore the area more and have more conversations.
Perfect location, perfect accomodation, nothing short of excellent on all levels. An ideal place to totally relax, unwind & enjoy the English countryside at its very best.
“Most excellent British holiday venue ever !!!”
"Simply the Best" British holiday cottage we have ever rented. Didn't want to leave at end of week & have already booked for family of 7 plus dog, next year. Great location for touring Herefordshire, with good local pubs & food, and friendly people. Great place to just chillout & relax, away from all the pressures of work & everyday life. Easy to recommend to anybody.
“A fantastic Easter weekend”
Being greeted by cuddley lambs on their pillows, our two little girls did not know that this was to be topped, when andrea invited them to feed the real lambs in the barn. We arrived for a bank holiday weekend and found that the welcome hamper set us up for a great time at Little Canwood House. We explored the lovely counrtyside around the house and enjoyed coming back in the evening to the fantastic and comfortable house. Take insect repellent!!
Just returned from an amazing weekend break at Canwood House. The Cottage is absolutely beautiful, spacious and has everything you need for a wonderful, relaxing break. Its is by far the best cottage we have stayed in and cannot recommend this place highly enough. Everything from the customer service we received from Charmaine the owner at time of booking and throughout our stay has been fantastic. Andrea also made the childrens time here extra special by taking them to the feed the lambs - an instant hit! The welcome basket, flowers were all lovely touches. I could go on! We will most certainly be visiting in the future. Thanks for a wonderful stay Faulkners, Shipmans and Fenn clan
“Beautiful house, great location”
We had a great stay at little Canwood House. Very clean the house has been renovated to high spec. We enjoyed a relaxing time with all the family and our family dog. As we were there during lambing season the children loved the lambs and due to the kindness of staff aloud us to get involed with feeding. Thanks to all for a great stay, hope to see you next year!!
We stayed here in March 2011, it really is a stunning house with everything you need. The location is amazing, surrounded by fields with a few lovely pubs near. They were lambing in the next field whilst we were there and we were even allowed to go and watch, which the children loved. Would highly recommend for a relaxing break.
“What more could you want?”
We rent Little Canwood House during the Cheltenham Racing Festival week, so what we need is 4 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable furniture, 2 large TVs, satellite TV, working internet (we are armchair fans this week) in a nice warm modern house. All preferably in beautiful, tranquil surroundings. This place has all of those and I would thoroughly recommend it (its probably even more suited, to people who actually want to get out and about and explore the fantastic countryside, but i wouldn't know about that!).
“Fabulous Family Home”
Lovely house for our family holiday. Plenty of room for all of us.
“We had a fantastic weekend!”
We thought the cottage was beautiful, it had everything we needed, the children thought it was great, especially seeing the new born lambs in the field and actually getting to stroke one in the barn next door. Gorgeous surroundings, couldn't fault it, would def come back again.
