Description
Come visit us, sit on the front porch and enjoy the peace and quiet of being surrounded by the forest. We are a no-frills, one bedroom cabin with bath and kitchenette.The cabin has a/c , overhead fan, & heat for cooler stays.There is a picnic table located in back beside a small fire pit with lots of cut firewood available. There's been no hunting on our land for a number of years so the wildlife is abundant. No city smog for us, the clear night skies go on forever with sparkling stars watching as you sleep. If you listen closely you will hear the call of several different species of birds serenading you as you drift away.
We are less than twenty miles from the Natural Bridge State Park with the Red River Gorge Zip Line close by. We are located on the North Fork of the Kentucky River. You can launch a canoe and paddle down to Beattyville for an adventure. Be sure to visit the birthplace of the Kentucky River where North Fork and South Fork Rivers meet. You can even launch upstream at the Airdale Bridge in St. Helens and have a canoe adventure on the North Fork of the Kentucky River. This is a good 3 hour canoe trip and you can end right back at H&P Cabins. For more information on canoe trips and local events visit Lee County Tourism Website.
We are also located near some of the best rock climbing in the world. The Red River Gorge Geological Area, Meir Valley, The Pendergrass – Murray Recereational Preserve, and the new Miller Fork Recreational Preserve make Eastern Kentucky third in the world for this rising outdoor adventure sport. If you are looking for an affordable place to stay so you can explore all these climbing areas then talk to us about EXTENDED STAY rates. “Great little cabin”
This was such a cute CLEAN cabin, my fiance and I stayed for the weekend and had such a great and peaceful time. They supplied us with all amenities and were very hospitable. After a late arrival due to personal reason he was very kind and helpful with us. Definitely would book again. :)

“Great get away”
