“Stunning local area steeped in history.”

Reviewed 19 Aug 2021

A pleasant base to explore a beautiful local area. An ideal location to see the many wonders this area has to offer. Golitha falls (we loved Inkie’s), the Hurlers and Cheeswring highly recommended. The cottage was a little bit dated but it had everything we needed and is comfortable. Living area upstairs and 2 bedrooms downstairs. The kitchen was tiny but sufficient for our short stay. There was a welcome pack of eggs, milk and bread which was nice. As improvements I’d live to see a few more essentials like salt and black pepper grinders (there were salt and white pepper shakers but not enough for cooking) maybe a large table/coarse salt? and an extra toilet roll!! (We nearly ran out). Otherwise you have to buy big packs which you’re not going to use for a 4 day stay. Our dog was welcome with a field for exercise and there were dog bowls and a towel to dry hers paws. Highly recommend staying here.
