Number 18 is a well presented, light and airy holiday let in Bowness with Super-Fast unlimited WiFi broadband. With the bustling town centre just a few steps away our elevated views and upstairs living area make the most of privacy and sunny days at the same time. Large garage and guaranteed parking make for easy days out with no need to fill the car with holiday toys every trip. Locally owned and not agency let means you can be sure problems are fixed quickly and your comments are dealt with promptly. Our great reviews speak for themselves. The property is laid out as one double, one single and one twin bunk room and is ideal for families.

Bowness is famous for its great selection of family and high end restaurants. #18's central location allows an easy walk to many options and a short car ride will take you to some exceptional venues. Enjoy a special night out at The The Wild Boar Inn, Grill & Smokehouse or a superb family meal at probably the best restaurant in Bowness Rastellis Pizzeria.

Those rainy days are no problem with many museums and attractions available locally. Want to hire a boat? Go for a steamer ride? Visit the cinema? All less than 200 meters away! For the more adventurous why not try a Wake Board session at the Low Wood Bay Watersports Centre, a parachute jump with Skydive Northwest or even a tandem Paraglider flight from AirVentures!

Getting around

The English lake district is geographically diverse place with many small roads and backwaters not covered by any form of transport link other than the road. Busses and trains link the major towns but due to the counties low population density these tend to be the only repetitively frequent services with higher frequencies during the peak holiday season. out of season many services are less frequent or non existent. we would recommend a car but there is plenty to see and do using bus, train or better still the ferries that operate on the major lakes. Windermere is our closest station, often a change at Lancaster or Oxenholm is required as there are only a few direct services. A taxi is the best way to travel the last mile to Number18

Lovely place to stay! The house was clean and had everything we needed. Garage was perfect for bikes and only a couple of minutes walk from the shops. No complaints!

We are a family of 4 and we stayed for two nights on a weekend in August as a base for a family party nearby. The location to Bowness is excellent, and it was a comfortable flat for a family of 4.

Lots of space for family with 2 children. Everything well maintained, comfortable and very close to the centre of bowness. Having laundry area in garage (with table football) was an additional bonus.
