Description from owner

Description

Bantry Cottage at Mineshop Holiday Cottages is one of 6 charming properties situated in Mineshop valley, just a short walk from the beach at Crackington Haven.

Crackington Haven is a beautiful Cornish village on the North Coast of Cornwall, between the traditional harbour of Boscastle and seaside town of Bude, its the perfect base for your getaway. The village is located in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Scientific Interest due to its dramatic cliff formations. The Haven has two shops/cafes and a Inn, The Coombe Barton, which has arguably one of the most stunning views from any pub. All of this is just a short stroll through the fields and woodland and is just under a mile away. There is also a village shop, just up the road by the playground, about a 20 minute walk, selling daily essentials, fresh and bread and newspapers etc.

Our Cottages are found in the hamlet of Mineshop. Set within 14 acres of private fields and woodland, it is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. The cottages are secluded, meaning you can unwind and relax the moment you arrive.

Guests staying at Mineshop Holiday Cottages also have free access to Crackington Havens Tennis courts, which have breathtaking views across the Atlantic and dramatic headland. We have some adult rackets and balls, but please feel free to bring your own.

Its the perfect spot to appreciate the wildlife on offer in North Cornwall, with our guests often seeing deer's, badgers, foxes and buzzards to name a few, out of their windows.

Mineshop is a brilliant base for walkers, with the Cornish coast path just a short stroll away, as well as many beautiful inland walks, you will have plenty to choose from.

Here at Mineshop, we are very happy to welcome your dogs on holiday too! With our private fields, woods and stream for them to enjoy, they will be spoilt for choice.

Children will love it here at Mineshop Holiday Cottages. Its the perfect place for children to be children and get out and explore. We keep chickens and ducks and quite often pigs, which children are more than welcome to help feed and collect the eggs from if they would like.

Guests are welcome to have BBQ's at their cottage, we have portable BBQ's and charcoal for guests to hire, or you're welcome to bring your own. We ask that these are not used on the wooden decking's, but can be used to the side of your cottage, or anywhere you fancy in our meadows!

The cottage itself is set on a south facing bank, with idyllic views across the fields, woodland and stream. All of our cottages have a decking area, although some do have enclosed private gardens, perfect for children and dogs.

The Cottage has two bedrooms, one double and one twin, a comfortable open lounge with lovely views, a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, Free WiFi, free heating and electricity, flat screen TV and DVD player in the lounge and Double bedroom, bathroom with bath and shower and a porch to keep you wellies in.

All beds will be made up for you.

Please note, we do not supply towels (they are available at an extra charge) so please do bring your own.

Please note that we charge £25 per dog per week. This is payable in cash upon collection of you cottage key.

Thank you very much for looking at our listing and Happy Holiday'ing!

Jess and all at Mineshop Holiday Cottages!
