Located at the heart of Bowness, this delightful Lakeland green slate holiday cottage is just a stones throw from the town centre and lake Windermere. Rowan Cottage sleeps four people in a double bedroom and twin bedroom. Rowan Cottage is decorated and furnished to the highest standard featuring a beautiful blend of traditional country cottage charm with modern day luxuries.

A parking permit is provided for One car.

Rowan Cottage is located just 5 minutes walk from the town centre and only 10 minutes from the lake. Its fantastic location makes Rowan Cottage an ideal base for exploring Bowness on Windermere and the surrounding area.

Guests at Rowan Cottage are furnished with a parking permit, which can be used for parking at the cottage as well as within the local area.

To the rear of the home, Rowan Cottage has its own courtyard garden complete with outdoor dining furniture.

Ground Floor

Lounge: The cosy lounge area has comfortable leather sofa seating, oak floors, digital television and DVD player. The lounge benefits from a wood burning stove - perfect to relax in front of on a chilly Lake District evening.

Dining room: The dining area has a dining table with seating for four. The dining room also has a TV and DAB radio.

Kitchen: Fully equipped kitchen is all set for a self catering holiday and comes complete with all the crockery, cookware and cutlery. The kitchen also has a gas hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge freezer.

First Floor

Double bedroom: The sophisticated double bedroom has a king-size bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and full length mirror.

Twin bedroom: The twin bedroom has two single beds, bedside table and wardrobe.

Family bathroom: The bathroom has a toilet, wash hand basin and bath with shower over.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
