Beautiful 18th Century detached cottage on the banks of the River Crake with stunning uninterrupted views (see photo gallery) north to Coniston Old Man, south towards the Cumbria Coastal Way (less than half a mile) and east towards the unspoilt Lake District National Park (less than 100 metres). The Perfect Location for a break in the Lakes; walking the fells, biking Coniston & the Grizedale Forest, sightseeing or just relaxing in peace at the cottage.

Mossy Lea Cottage is perfect for Weekend Breaks. You can arrive at any time you want after 9am Friday, departure times are equally flexible on either Sunday or during Monday up to 12 noon. Please let us know which times suit you best.

There is a large Master bedroom with a double bed, the second bedroom has two large single beds and the third bedroom has 3 foot wide bunk beds.
There is plenty of room in the tiled Cloakroom for drying outdoor gear and storing muddy boots.

There is secure parking for at least 3 cars and there is plenty of lockable storage for at least 6 bikes. There is also an outside tap & hose with plenty of room to hose down your boots or your bikes.

“Fantastic place to stay.”
Very beautifull and a good base to explore the area. child friendly. The view from the house is amazing. marvelous envirement Clean in and outside of the house.

“A magnificent cottage in a great location and ideal for families.”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our boys loved the garden. And what a superb location with hills and the ocean around the corner. We will definitely return.

“lovely cottage in a great location”
We had a fantastic holiday at Mossy Lea Cottage. The location was fantastic with a shop a few minutes down the road which sold any essentials we had forgotten, although the cottage was brilliantly stocked with tea and coffee etc. The cottage itself was lovely with a good sized garden that we spent an afternoon and evening in with a bbq for dinner. Everything is very well presented and the views out the back of the cottage are lovely. Mossy Lea is also well stocked with games and playing cards which we found very useful! The owners were very helpful and always responsive to any questions or enquiries that we had. Overall a fantastic place to stay.
