Description
Set in a secluded little valley in South East Cornwall, Trenedden Barn offers spacious and uncluttered accommodation in a beautiful setting. Fantastic beaches are only a couple of miles away, and Looe, Polperro, Lerryn and Fowey are all close by.
If you like uncluttered and spacious, you’ll like the barn. Living accommodation is upstairs, lots of space, with beautiful traditional oak floors. Bedrooms are downstairs, with slate (stone) floors. Underfloor heating throughout the barn, gives a very comfortable environment.
+ Lounge – Fantastic views over the garden and the valley, and a wood burner for cosy evenings.
+ Kitchen – Fully equipped. Breakfast island with seating for four. Step out of the kitchen directly into the back garden.
+ Dining Room – Large dining table for eight, lounge area with 55″ HD TV.
+ Bedroom 1 – take the spiral staircase down to the master bedroom. Solid oak furniture, with king size bed. En-suite bathroom with walk in shower and whirlpool bath.
+ Bedroom 2 – Solid wood furniture, with king size bed. Shared bathroom with walk in shower.
+ Bedroom 3 – Solid wood furniture, with king size bed. Shared bathroom with walk in shower.
+ Garden - The theme for the garden is wildlife friendly, with lots of things to eat. Down at the bottom of the garden is the wildlife pond in a wetland garden. An orchard has been planted with traditional apple varieties. Around the orchard is a ‘fruiting hedge’, with raspberries, gooseberries, blueberries, and the ‘superfood’ Goji berry. A pair of grape vines are being trained up over the front door – the vision is a leafy canopy to sit under in summer.

“Quality accommodation in a beautiful and tranquil setting.”
Trendedden Barn has been converted thoughtfully with attention to detail. The accommodation is of a quality standard with everything you need. The living areas are spacious with room for all the family, plus friends. The gardens are beautiful with interesting places to explore. It is in a very quiet location with views over fields and woodland. It is perfect for a peaceful get away.

“Enormous barn in beautiful part of Cornwall”
We had a fantastic stay at the barn in August 2015. We went with our three young kids, and the barn is perfect for small children to run around and explore inside and out! The barn itself is 'upside down' in the sense that the bedrooms are downstairs. The upstairs is enormous - all the rooms open so you can see from one end to the other. There is a large lounge with sofas and a wood burner (we didn't make use of this in August!), then a very modern kitchen, and then another enormous room with dining table and more sofas and a TV. Enough space for everyone to spread out in! The downstairs layout is more unusual, two bedrooms are close to each other with a shared bathroom, but the third bedroom is accessed from a different staircase and is entirely separate with its own bathroom. This could be perfect with different sets of adults getting space, but might be tricky if you had lots of children and needed to be near them. We just used the two close bedrooms, and had the three children share one room, using the spare fold out bed, so it worked fine for us. Outside there is loads of space to roam around in, and even a herd of cows next door that came to talk to us most days. The barn is about ten minutes drive away from Llansallos beach, where we spent a lot of time! It's a National Trust beach, with a beautiful walk down through a tunnel of trees until you finally come out onto the gravel beach. Really recommended if you stay at Trenedden.

Response from the owner Thanks a lot for your nice review Alex, and for your improvement suggestions after your stay - the lack of coat hooks has been corrected ! We've also just added a classic, Swedish, Husqvarna waffle maker to the kitchen equipment - it makes waffles so good it's worth a return visit to the barn just to try them !
