Description

Situated between Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale this stunning Lakeland barn is half way up a south facing hill with views over the open countryside and Lakeland fells. This characterful barn features stone walls, wooden and natural floors a real log fire and exposed beams throughout.

Set in just under an acre, the garden provides space for games and the front of the house has a long garden for lounging. There are various outdoor sitting areas; a barbecue area with dining table seating eight at the bottom of the garden and patio area around the kitchen which incorporates the hot tub (available at extra cost).

Ideally situated for easy access to and from the Lake District and all the recreational activities it provides for tourers, hillwalkers, climbers, cyclists and canoeists. All will appreciate the location.

Fully furnished to a high standard in keeping with a country property.

There are two main bedrooms; a family bedroom with a double bed and two single beds, and another bedroom with a king size bed. Our additional hayloft bedroom with a king sized bed is accessed via a spiral staircase in the lounge and has newly fitted privacy curtains. The spiral staircase is an adventure, but most suited for more able bodied people.

We are a rural location which generally means that vehicular access would be preferred, however, there is a bus service (567) from Endmoor village to Kendal, Kirkby Lonsdale and Ingleton. We are about 4 miles from Oxenholme railway station which is on the main West Coast line if you need rail access.

All the areas illustrated in the photographs you will have full access to. This area comprises a private area of the barn with the views over open countryside with direct access to the garden. We live nearby in the adjoining part of the barn.

You can Check in after 4 pm and Check out is by 11 am. If you need variations on this do let us know as we may be flexible and able to accommodate.

An optional extra is our newly installed hot tub. This is a private hot tub which is available by special arrangement prior to your visit. 3 night cost is £200, 4 nights or more is £320. Please note that this must be booked and paid for in advance and is available for your exclusive use during your stay. Available as an extra after booking.

“Fantastic place for a relaxing trip”

It's a really nice place with plenty of room even with 6 adults and one toddler. The owner was very accommodating and so incredibly nice. Very quiet and in a great location.
