Description

Willow is one of 3 small cedar chalets situated on the side of the Trebarwith Valley.. The chalet is intended for 2 people but it is possible to sleep up to 2 children on the futon in the lounge. Willow is not suitable for more than 3 adults and even this will be difficult in this small space. The chalet is the most sheltered of the three and has a little garden where guests can sunbathe or have a BBQ-however BBQ facilities are not provided. Wildlife can often be seen around the site and accross the valley and some guests have photographed wild deer and foxes. The chalet has a seaview across the headlands to the lighthouse on Trevose Head. However the view is not as panoramic as that of Maple and Furze as the Maple is partly in the way. The local beach, Trebarwith Strand, is dog friendly . There is plenty of parking available in our carpark but it is not possible to drive up to the chalet. Access is via a fairly steep slope and then along a path to the chalet. For this reason the chalets are not suitable for elderly or incapacitated people. Only Saturday to Saturday bookings please between 16 th July and 3 rd September -otherwise dates are flexible.

Please bring your own duvets, covers, sheets , pillows and towels until further notice.

All chalets now have wifi. The wifi has been reliable over the last year but is not guaranteed and will be turned off if thunderstorms are forecast.

Getting around

Although there is a basic bus service it is really necessary to have a car. There is also a visitor centre in Tintagel with information on local walks and attractions.

Interaction with guest

We live here at Chylean and so are to hand if there are any problems. There is a landline in the house if needed. There is also a cafe nearby with free wifi . It is called the Brewery Cafe and is at the top of our road.

House rules

We have a large carpark but it is not possible to drive up to the chalet. Access from the carpark is via a fairly steep slope and along a grassy path. Therefore the chalet is not suitable for elderly or incapacitated people. The futon is suitable for up to 2 children or one extra adult but we do not recommend this chalet for a party of 4 adults as the chalet is small. Please bring your own duvets, sheets and pillows-please enquire if necessary. Wifi is now available in all chalets.

“Cheylean chalet in Tintagel”

Very poor on decor, bathroom floor and edges of floor and ceilings very dirty, cobwebs everywhere, toilet base very dirty. Considering the Covid guidelines cleanliness was poor. We were told to bring out own bedding etc because of Covid which was fine but it wasn't cleaned very well at all so it seemed one sided here!! Left no milk etc.yet place was dirty? Seems like very little effort was made here.

“Relaxing break away from everything”

The location is perfect, just a few miles from the coast. The chalets are small but fine for 2 adults. Friendly owners, would definitely stay there again!

“Lovely”

The location was great and was nice to have a beach nearby .The chalet had everything needed for a few days away with a little field for the dog to run around and a beautiful view which was lovely waking up to every morning .We will definitley be going back !
