Description

Peak Rise is a stylish annex attached to a large 1930's detached house, with a private entrance and an outside patio looking over a large garden with stables and a menage and fields to the rear.

On the ground floor is a fully fitted kitchen diner with tables and chairs plus all the appliances required for a self-catering stay.. On the first floor there is a galleried landing leading to a double bedroom and a twin bedroom ( N.B. there is a twin room and not 2 double rooms as stated on the listing, a shower room and a large, spacious lounge furnished to a high standard. A fabulous open ash staircase leads up to the lovely master bedroom which is built in the eaves of the house. This bedroom has a small en-suite toilet and wash hand basin for your convenience. From the bedroom, at the rear, there are far reaching views over the garden, open countryside and stables.. The accommodation is completely private and self contained with its own drive and parking for at least 3 vehicles. It has its own entrance with a key safe and patio area with an outside table and 6 chairs, colourful flower tubs which overlooks a large garden, stables and menage.

Getting around

When staying at Peak Rise a car is necessary if you want to investigate the surrounding areas. We are on a bus route to Leek and into the Potteries and the bus stop is about 50 yards away.If you are planning to book a taxi I recommend you do it well in advance especially if it is for a Saturday night.

As we live on the premises, next door, we are usually there to welcome you when you arrive.We have installed a keysafe so that you may arrive and depart totally independently if you prefer. If you have any problems during your stay we are nearby to help you. You can phone or text to contact us.We may see you around when we are out and about.

House rules

We have furnished Peak rise to a high standard and hope all our guests will treat it as their own, with great care. We especially wish to point out the hanging lights on the stairs leading up to the master bedroom and ask that children do not touch them as they are glass, extremely delicate and will easily break. Thank you.

Many people don't realise just how much there is to see and find out about around us here in the Staffordshire Moorlands. We can't believe all the different types of weather you experienced during your stay from dowdy rainy days to bright sunshine, snow on a number of occasions and even very large hailstones one afternoon! If Lynn (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
