Getting around

There is a very reliable bus service from Mousehole to Penzance twice hourly in the day and hourly in the evening and from there the buses in Penzance go all over the area, St Ives, Porthcurno, Lands End, St Michael's Mount and Mariazion etc. The train station in Penzance links with the buses. I travelled from Oxford to Penzance with one change at Reading, excellent service.

“Fantastic”

My wife was given a 3 day art course at Newlyn School of Art and we picked the Net Loft at Mousehole as our base and really glad we did as we had a wonderful time, the apartment was fantastic, very clean and had absolutely everything that was required for a peaceful holiday, the location was ideal, a few steps from the harbour and good choice of eating establishments and lovely walks. Cheryl was a pleasure to deal with and it was nice to get a welcome hamper on arrival.

“Well presented, comfortable and perfectly placed for a great Cornish break”

Reviewed 21 May 2018

The Net Loft in Mousehole is well kept and homely and is provided with everything you might need for a relaxiing holiday. It is situated in a quiet cobbled lane close to the harbour and in easy reach of local amenities including several excellent restaurants and a traditional pub and, of course the magnificent Coast Path. The fishing port of Newlyn is also close by and boasts of an art house cinema with a restaurant/bar in a converted fish warehouse. Cheryl has made the flat very welcoming and provides little luxuries to greet guests including a bottle of fizz! I shall certainly be back.

“Stunning studio apartment in gorgeous Mousehole”

Reviewed 23 Aug 2017

We had a superb stay at 2 net loft for a week in August 2017 and it has everything you need. Spotlessly clean and very well equipped The additional welcome touches Cheryl and Ken provided made it feel special. After a day's walking we spent quite a few early evenings just sitting enjoying the sunshine with a bottle of wine/presecco down at the harbour just soaking up the atmosphere and watching with some amusement people parking/reversing off and on the harbour wall carpark. Parking in Mousehole can be as challenging as walking the coastal path!! The coastal paths in both directions are superb and towards Lands End can be challenging in places but are well worth the effort. Be careful if you walk inland as some of the paths we found to be virtually impassable and wear shorts at your peril due nettles. We had the best Cornish Pastie ever at Porthgwarra, highly recommend you make the effort to go there and try one. It is also a beautiful cove with a great sandy beach. Lands End was a bit over commercialised for our liking but the walk from Porthcurno, taking in Porthgwarra, was breathtaking. The Minack Theatre is a not to be missed experience, make sure you book early as it sells out quickly, as is a trip to St Michaels Mount at Marazion. Whatever your reasons for visiting Cornwall our accommodation and week in Mousehole was just fabulous and we will return. Colin and Karen
