Description
Emma and Pete welcome you to Edge Lee. Edge Lee is situated on the edge of the Goyt Valley and the Peak District National Park but is still only 15-20 minutes' walk from the centre of the picturesque spa town of Buxton. Bishops Lane is on the route of many of the popular walks near Buxton and is a quiet country lane, despite its close proximity to the centre of Buxton.
The available accommodation consists of a large self-contained flat consisting of a king-sized bed, ensuite shower room, sitting area and fully fitted kitchen (with fridge, hob, oven, microwave and dishwasher). Having experienced many bed and breakfast accommodations in the past we thought that it would be good to provide guests with the ability to cater for themselves so that they can enjoy meals in their own time rather than being tied to any particular timescales.
The flat benefits from free wifi, a smart television (Internet enabled) and free parking. Guests are welcome to make use of the substantial patio area at the rear of the property to simply sit and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening or cook a barbecue.
Local maps are available within the accommodation for planning your walks. We are also happy to provide advice with regard to walking routes, cycle trails, local attractions, etc.

“Beautiful studio flat in quiet picturesque surroundings”
We thought the apartment was clean, modern and tastefully decorated, with everything you could need and more. Although attached to the hosts house above their garage, the flat is very private and quiet. Communication before our stay was great and we had full instructions on finding them and how to get into the property. We were met on arrival and made to feel very welcome. The hosts had left some eggs from their hens, which we had the pleasure of watching pecking about in the garden. There were other little added extras left to welcome us, which were all a nice touch. I particularly loved how the trees reached up to our windows and that we could see the wild birds as they perched just a few feet away from us outside. We would definitely recommend this place and would look forward to staying again if we were back in the area for another peaceful getaway close to some great walks in the peak district.

Response from the owner We are very sad that you were not satisfied with our accommodation, you are the first person who has been dissatisfied. As you booked independently (at very short notice) we waived the non-refundable deposit for ease all round. Our description of our accommodation does not state that we provide cake. However, this is done as a welcoming gesture to our guests. Cake was there on the night you arrived along with fruit, milk and home-made juice. The property is self-contained with its own access. Although, it is attached to the owners house. Please note, for other readers, the price of our accommodation is not £150 per night but £75. The pictures of our accommodation demonstrate quite clearly that it is an open plan room, with a separate bathroom. We are sad to have lost a customer and sorry that you feel that you had a wasted journey.

“Lovely stay”
Lovely apartment, the bed is so comfy! Fresh milk in the fridge and homemade cakes on arrival, everything you need for a short stay is already stocked. Emma was lovely and helpful! 40 minute walk into town, plenty of fields and pubs. Had a great relaxing weekend away, would definitely come back.
