This contemporary beachside house, in the coastal town of Porthtowan can sleep eight people in four bedrooms.St Ives view commands spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean from its beachside elevated position benefiting from private access onto the beach at Porthtowan, immediately below. A few minutes stroll brings you to the thriving coastal resort with all you need for a fabulous beach holiday including a number of good bars, restaurants, shops and cafes. The cool and contemporary interior is split level with four crisp white bedrooms and two bathrooms accommodating up to eight in total. A sleek modern kitchen diner looks out towards the ocean with a stylish light and airy sitting room. Relax in the sunshine in the sun room or on
Amenities: Central heating, electric wood burner style fire in sitting room. Electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, washer/tumble dryer and fridge/freezer. TV, WiFi, iPod dock. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair available on request. Off road parking for 2 cars. Garden is a mix of lawn and decking with steps and over several levels (children need to be supervised). Sorry no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 10 mins walk. Beach 15 min walk. Region: Cornwall's visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain's premier holiday destinations.
Town: Porthtowan is a small village resting on west Cornwalls beautiful coastline, renowned for its Blue Flag beach, which at low tide exposes almost a mile and a half of fine, golden sands. A renowned surfing beach, patrolled by lifeguards during the summer season, the beach is also ideal for families with children. Surf hire and tuition is available on the beach and there pubs cafes, a beach shop in the town. A designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, cliff top walks along the South West Coastal path feature some spectacular scenery and lead east to St Agnes or west to Portreath. The city of Truro is 10 miles brimming with fine restaurants, cafes and shops. Whilst the vibrant maritime town of Falmouth is a little over 30 minutes drive and well worth a visit for its Maritime museum and varied selection of galleries and gift shops. There are days out for families and children at Flambards theme park in Helston and the Seal Sanctuary in Gweek. A great base for couples or families alike.
