Description

Our lovely, tiled garden view studio is one of several lovely studios at BEARS' PLACE GUEST HOUSE in Kailua Kona. Our guest house is a great home-base for exploring the Big Island of Hawaii. We are located on the hillside, overlooking the Kona Coast, 7 miles north of downtown Kailua, at a comfortable elevation of 1,600'; so there are always cool breezes for happy sleeping. Our quiet little neighborhood is about a 10-minute drive to downtown Kailua, beautiful beaches and golf. For those arriving on the evening flights, we are only 10 minutes from the airport, but have no airport noise.

We try to provide everything you need to make Bears' Place your home away from home. Wake up in the morning to the sound of birds singing, and breakfast at your leisure. After a day of fun, relax on your private lanai and listen to the gentle rustling of banana leaves.

The light and airy Hibiscus Studio is spacious (300sf) with a large, covered lanai. It has a queen bed and sleeper sofa, so it can sleep 3 guests. It has a kitchenette, with fridge/freezer, microwave, coffeepot, toaster, electric skillet, portable stovetop, rice cooker/vegetable steamer, hot water pot and dishes. There is cable, LCD TV, free WiFi, and convenient on-site parking. We also supply beach towels, coolers, chairs and boogie boards free of charge. Laundry and dishwashing facilities are available.

Your hostesses, Anne Stockel, and daughter Nanette have enjoyed hosting visitors for over 30 years and have explored this beautiful island extensively. We greet our guests in person and are available throughout their stay to help plan their outings and direct them to the beaches best suited for what they wish to do that day. We especially enjoy our European visitors, as we both speak German.
