Description

Riverside Cottage is nestled on the edge of a forest ravine in Thornthwaite. Newly renovated, it is light and airy throughout with Velux windows on the upper floors. There are two bedrooms and a family bathroom upstairs whilst the ground floor offers a pleasant sitting room with a wood burner and a super modern kitchen, both with patio doors opening to the large veranda overlooking the forest ravine and tumbling beck.

The Veranda along the back of the house is accessed via patio doors from both the kitchen and the sitting room. A well positioned table and chairs offers a great vantage point for an enjoyable alfresco meal or refreshing glass of wine. A lovely terraced garden leads down to the river where you could enjoy a BBQ on those hot summer days, maybe partake in a little sunbathing as well! The garden also offers views over to Skiddaw.

Thornthwaite is a very quiet hamlet situated between the eastern edge of Whinlatter Forest and the southern edge of Bassenthwaite Lake. Thornthwaite boasts a popular gallery and tearoom whilst nearby Braithwaite has a great local shop, two good pubs and a bistro.

How do damage deposits work?
