Description

Having owned Butterfly Lodge for over a decade we consider Butterfly Lodge our 'home from home'. We spend a considerable amount of time at the lodge ensuring our guests have everything they need to enjoy their holiday. Decked areas around the lodge with gates ensure you can relax on our outdoor furniture or enjoy the park's facilities.

In 2023 we purchased a new fridge freezer, new washing machine, and the flat screen TV was replaced in 2022. In 2024 Wi-Fi has been installed.

New mattresses have been fitted to all beds (2021). Wooden flooring has now been installed in both bathrooms.

There is a 50" smart TV in the lounge with a smaller TV in the master bedroom. All cutlery, crockery, pots, pans and glasses are provided, microwave, fridge freezer, toaster, kettle & air fryer. We even provide a slow cooker!!

Situated on Killigarth Manor Holiday Park, the lodge is of pine construction, is specious, sleeps 6 people in 3 bedrooms, and benefits from an en-suite plus seperate bathroom.

The lodge is in a quiet rural setting on Killigarth Manor Holiday Park, close to the Cornish Coastal Path & half a mile from Talland Bay. Talland Bay has beautiful safe coves for swimming, fishing and water sports. The cafe serves delicious food & will hire kyaks for the adventurous.

Parking space for 2 cars. Decked areas to front, side & rear with secure gates. Patio furniture, charcoal weber style BBQ, sun loungers, cot & high chair.are available for guests.

The park has full amenities including: club house, bar, takeaway, restaurant, shop, swimming pools, gym, sauna, tennis court, snooker, pool & kiddies club.

Polperro (1 mile) & Looe (4 miles) or easily accessible by the regular bus services running to Liskeard, Plymouth & Polruan (community bus).

The lodge is around 40 minutes drive from The Eden Project.

Getting around

There is a community bus running past the site to Looe & Polruan. There are regular main bus services from Polperro to Liskeard, Looe & Plymouth - bus stops are approximately 1/4 mile from the holiday park (main road). Looe station gives rail access to Liskeard where it joins the main line giving access to Newquay, Penzance, Plymouth & St. Ives for day excursions. The train from Looe is a 'must do'. A single track meanders along the Looe river (you may think you're on a boat) before climbing to Liskeard.

No candles are permitted.

“Quiet, comfortable & cosy.”

The site is quiet, well-managed and tidy with plenty of room for parked vehicles and grassy areas for children to play. Butterfly Lodge itself was very clean and well supplied with cupboards, crockery and bed-linen etc and was comfortable and welcoming. It has obviously been well-used so is a little worn with one or two areas in need of slight attention such as the ensuite shower head rail which was loose and the cords for a couple of the blinds which were broken but still usable. It has colourful and distinctive decoration which our grandchildren loved and we thought gave it a cosy feel.

“Brilliant Lodge”

Lovely good sized lodge, there were 6 adults staying, and 2 dogs, plenty of room, great having 2 bathrooms, everything you needed in Lodge including BBQ, plenty of outside seating. On a John Fowler park so has all amenities close to hand, lovely walk to Polperro and Talland Bay, but very steep hills to walk back up!

“Wonderful holiday”

My family and I (2 adults and 2 children 4&7) stayed at the lodge during the summer of 2018. The lodge had everything we needed for a wonderful break. It was a short walk to Talland Bay (nice beach) and into Polperro, although both a steep walk back but achievable. The site itself was good, with a nice pool and overall the site was quiet enough so my son could cycle unaccompanied. Overall a really nice place to stay for a great family holiday.
