Comfortable lakeland cottage sleeping 4 people in 2 bedrooms.Mell View is a charming single-storey cottage overlooking Great Mell Fell near Lake Ullswater. The cottage is fully heated and sleeps four to six people and has one double bedroom, a twin room and a family bathroom. The cottage has a fitted kitchen and sitting room with a wood burning stove. A cottage-style garden with patio and garden furniture provides a place to relax and offers excellent views of the countryside. With private parking for two cars and only two miles from the beautiful Lake Ullswater, Mell View is the perfect choice for a cosy family holiday offering plenty of outdoor activities.
Amenities: Electric underfloor heating, plus a wood burning stove. Electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, washer/dryer and dishwasher. Colour plasma TV with Freeview, DVD player. Wi-fi, Electricity inc. in rent. All bed linen and towels provided. Private parking available for 2 cars. A large cottage-style garden with patio and furniture. Sorry, no smoking and no pets. Shop and pub in Matterdale village, 1 mile. Note: Mell View is not suitable for guests with animal allergies. This property is not suitable for EV charging.
Region: Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.
Town: Situated in a rural location one mile from Matterdale, on the coast to coast cycle route, located mid way between Keswick and Penrith, 2 miles north of Lake Ullswater. For those who enjoy an active lifestyle there are Little Mell Fell, Great Mell Fell and Gowbarrow Fell circumscribing the village and numerous watersports are available from nearby Lake Ullswater. Matterdale is in an area of outstanding beauty with magnificent fell views, there is a bar and village shop and the villages of Dockray and Dacre are both within a 5 minute drive with village pubs serving excellent bar meals.

Lovely cottage. Beautifully clean. Good info except we arrived with no bedding for sofa bed, missed that bit of info. Was no problem though. Super location. Enjoyed visit

“Great views”
Enjoyed our stay. The heating was set a little high for us!Only thing it lacked was a shaver/toothbrush recharger point.We would definitely stay here again if in the area.
