Description
Riverside Cottage is a beautifully fitted three bedroom home, sleeping up to six, situated in the world famous Grasmere Village, in the heart of the Lake District National Park.
Surrounded by stunning scenery it sits adjacent to the river Rothay as part of a secluded terrace/cul de sac just minutes away from the centre of Grasmere Village.
Three large en-suite bedrooms are located over two upper floors. All the rooms have superb views over Grasmere and the surrounding fells.
Fully central heated with under floor heating to the ground floor and bathrooms.
Fieldfoot is a cosy and comfortable base, fitted out in a high quality contemporary style, from which to explore the stunning Lake District.

“Lovely place, some niggles”
Great setting in the middle of Grasmere. Good bedrooms and excellent en-suite bathrooms (open plan in the master bedroom, top floor). Well equipped kitchen but not 6 matching wine glasses or good size… More

“The Lakes”
The cottage was just enough, no perks, five of us and there were barely enough crockery and cutlery to go around. Cooker by clean. Photos of cottage very cleverly taken of the kitchen/lounge/diner, no room to have all chairs easily around the table, space long and narrow. The whole downstairs was dark traditional cottage. Space upstairs good, lacked full length mirror, tv signal not great. Pillows mainly feather and flat, watch out asthma suffers and pillow lovers. On a safety note the hot water was way too hot.

“Excellent location, very good upstairs accommodation, very disappointing downstairs.”
Vacation spoilt by multiple problems. Lounge - seating shabby worn uncomfortable, not very clean. Kitchen fridge smelt of fish, freezer frosted up, utensils melted or blackened. Oven unusable no instructions, no visible legends on dials, grill pan handle missing. No lid kitchen bin. General - lack of instruction manuals, no window or fan downstairs toilet King size bed is on first floor not top floor as shown on web site. Vacuum cleaner blew up and iron replaced as unsafe.No hairdryer. Some problems were resolved but overall needs much more TLC downstairs. On the plus side location excellent, plenty of hot water, good showers
